Genuinely wondering why people constantly point to Tex when discussing who mibr would potentially drop and correct me if I'm wrong but he's consistently better than some of his teammates no? I feel like Mazino usually gets less kills than he does so why do people constantly pile on Tex?

because tex plays only sentinel and constantly gets railed and dominated while lurking and anchoring sites. the one player that needs to have a clutch factor, crisp aim and can win rounds just by finding gaps in the enemy's defence is a fucking burger.
in all honestly tho Sideshow had a pretty valid take when casting their game against NRG, i think in stage 1 tex was getting zero value from his lurks and what not because the comms weren’t clear enough on what was really going on the map. so him pushing up abit too early was causing him to be caught out, like, a lot. he looked much better on Breeze but im not going to praise him till he has a good split.
i think he was more a less referring to it looking like tex was taking better timings due to what his team was doing on the map. you can’t be that dense are you?
his entire take relies on something that he doesn't know for sure. yes, if your team is obvious and fails to create timings for your lurker, then it obviously gets harder for the lurker to get value. Aside from that, T1 isn't strategically allat either, but does that stop Meteor from walking around the map and killing half the lobby? no
same with echo, cortezia, nAts, others... they're all on mid teams but they still get insane value. Tex doesn't.
that comes off the back of team coms though…like you can’t take a timing if your team doesn’t com to you exactly what they’re doing when they do it. pulling rotates and what not. i think it’s just assumed the coms are clearer seeing as Tex is getting better value…
I can't imagine those 5 players not having at least good enough coms for a half decent lurker to get value. also, it's not just his attack side that is bad. it's everything, losing duels, not getting trades, anchoring. getting picked off first on defense more than you would want from your sentinel. He's just not good enough on every level. that being said, if they had meteor or cortezia, that wouldn't solve all mibr's issues either, but they'd at least be good enough to qualify for internationals

Unironically when you consider that zekken was brought in to play smokes he was just a straight up downgrade to xenom. If the meta all year hadn't heavily favoured double duelist over everything else he would've been gone after Kickoff.

I understand and know that but a lot of people i've seen hating on tex have only talked about him going negative so i wanted to see if there was a genuine reason or people were just being mean
there are reasons, but getting him out wont change anything on this dead team. their problem must be spiritual or something
if you can't make it work with aspas zekken verno tex and mazino you have to be cursed because there's no way this team hasn't made an international this year

I could agree but i think the team just has many issues that does not allow its players to play to the best of their ability and i feel a lot of people like to point out tex's flaws more than the others. I don't use this website a lot so again correct me if i'm wrong but i haven't seen much criticism for others besides him and the aspas baiting allegations (and this post now apparently)
zekken has been so fucking underwhelming but no tex takes all the blame it’s pretty sad
