It's honestly crazy how fast NRG fell off after winning Paris. Back then people were talking about the start of a dynasty, comparing them to some of the greatest rosters we've seen, and acting like they were going to dominate the scene for years, but now they load into a server and look like five guys who met each other in ranked an hour before the match. Every game is the same story. Weird macro decisions, questionable mid-rounding, missed utility, players getting caught in positions that make no sense, and rounds that somehow spiral out of control despite having every advantage imaginable. Watching them play feels like watching a team permanently stuck in a timeout discussion that never ends.
And the funniest part is that whenever they lose, people still talk about them like they're some sleeping giant that's one small adjustment away from becoming elite again. It's been a year. How much longer are we supposed to wait for this awakening? At some point the conversation has to shift from "what happened to the champions?" to "were they ever that good to begin with?", because the gap between the 2025 version of NRG and whatever we're watching now is so massive that it genuinely feels like two completely different orgs.
