less viewers, online qualifiers to the tournament itself, some masters teams prioritizing masters over ewc, single elim playoffs in the big 2026, no in game incentives, no champions points/no benefit from winning other than money
let them have it, it means so much to players who haven't really won anything, its the biggest thing theyve won and should be proud of it no matter the circumstances, the only caveat being it doesnt hold the same amount of weight as a vct trophy

Ewc is a valid enough tournament but u just can't give it the same value as another internationals simply cause not everyone plays seriously in it with the intent to win except the teams that aren't doing good
If the teams give it enough value, they will show it through their hard work, emotions, and result. Thats why we see all the world champions from 2023-2025 crying while 100T just was like "cool"
