Technically Trent I think? I heard he could’ve applied for us citizenship through his mom but didn’t
Objectively, can going from not playing for a national team to being a starting RB for a top 20 national team be considered a downgrade?
i think being on a top 4 team would mean a higher chance of winning the world cup
but its england so prolly not
João Pedro probably. He been playing bad for the national squad but we really needed a more complete striker
I moreso meant dual/multi nationals who could've played for your country but chose a different one
oh right lmfao
currently prob Matheus Nunes from Portugal (we could use a RB)
Historically i'd say Pepe, Deco, Diego Costa and Thiago Alcântara
Me. I'd have shown more passion than these bums and played better football.
Chill bro they already replaced the coach plus basically the entire squad
It's forza Italia once again from here on out. Have faith, brother
The coach wasn't the problem.
It's this generation of players. Doesn't matter if they change the whole squad. No one shows even an ounce of passion our legends shown. All they care about is club football and minor girls
Michael chopra historically
from current ones, Maybe Sarpreet singh or Yan dhanda.
surely for a country of 1.5 billion people yall have better footballing diaspora than a former championship player, an SPFL player and an A-League player
like i get that india isnt very passionate about football, but surely there is enough diaspora in countries with good footballing structure like England or Germany, that you could have some strong players
correct me if im wrong but the entire national team plays in the indian super league? like if east timor have a player in the english league system, india can too, and thus get stronger players
idk im yapping but like yk?
Nah man i actually keep on checking Indian diaspora players regularly, Its still not that strong https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianFootball/comments/1u4mfwd/best_xi_if_india_include_oci_players/
This will be our XI if we allow OCI players to play for India
But im not much aware about 3rd Generation Indian diaspora, like for example uruguayan player maximillian araujo's grandfather was among one of the colonisers who live in India.. and many of the portuguese players will be eligible for India if we consider 3rd generation. But if you are only talking about Indian diaspora that sadly isnt too strong as well..
However recently an australian player Ryan williams gave up his australian citizenship to play for India
His mother was anglo-indian.
But also keep in mind that India doesnt have any double citizenship laws so any 3rd generation Indian roots guy in foreign was never really in "could have represented India" category.
