I can see the first half going 1-1 then France dominating second half and go up 2 more on them but against Spain I see a close game all 90 mins

It's not like they're on a multiple year unbeaten run or anything... they've lost as recently last month vs. Côte d'Ivoire at home, and before that they drew Iceland away in October (and before anyone says they weren't taking those matches seriously, the Côte d'Ivoire match was their only real June warm-up friendly for the tournament and the Iceland match would've qualified them for the World Cup but they instead had to wait until the next window, plus they almost drew Iceland at home as well if not for an offside call through VAR so it's not like that result was a fluke... but I digress)
I'm gonna sit here and downplay the strength of the French national team but every single team that makes the quarterfinals has a solid argument to beat any other quarterfinal team

However, if you want to look at their performances during this tournament specifically, then let's look at their matches so far:
- 🇫🇷 3-1 🇸🇳 ... amazing result, definitely their best in this tournament so far, Senegal looked shaky in this game tbh but France still won it convincingly and mind great doing it so full credit to them
- 🇫🇷 3-0 🇮🇶 ... while I rate Iraq higher than most, this is the kind of performance France should be expected to get against a pot 4 team that's prone to defensive mistakes
- 🇫🇷 4-1 🇳🇴 ... while France had impressive individual performances in this game, Norway publicly said this match didn't matter to them, fielded a sub team, and this match was dead rubber from there
- 🇫🇷 3-0 🇸🇪 ... Sweden are incredibly lucky to even be at this World Cup, let alone in a knockout match, and winning this by less than 3 would've been a bad look for France to be completely honest
- 🇫🇷 1-0 🇵🇾 ... I think it's fair to say we shouldn't use a match like this to judge the French national team
No discredit to France whatsoever, they are one of the most, if not THE most, in-form teams in the world... but which of these results are you pointing at to tell me they're undoubtedly the greatest team on the planet? They are without debate one of the best national teams in the world but if you want to look at "right now," which is the World Cup, then which is these results are you using to justify the claim that they're untouchable?
I never said untouchable, any team is still beatable. Just implying that they're probably and most likely the strongest team right now from watching all their current matches within this World Cup. Compared to the other teams, France is in great form indeed.

Nothing against your national team, I have full respect for the French, but there's simply no such thing as an objectively unbeatable team
Argentina and Spain are the only teams that feel like they would give them real competitive struggles. Not just parking the buss and counter attack bs that most teams have tried against them.
Seems like clear winner rn imo. Their team is so good on every position pretty much + they have superstars who can just win you games + good reserve. I feel like none of the other teams come close. Spain is likely the closest match, but even for them idk feel like they miss something.
