The situation is honestly laughable, if you look at t2 rn there are more ph teams than viet but riot probs see more money in viet cuz of their viewership which fucks a lot of ph talents by being lumped in with the rest of sea(i get that they want that money but viewership over talent is still crazy). Considering the amount of success ph had recently(more t2 ph teams in playoffs/more ph talent in internationals), wont this move just straight up kill an already dying scene

I mean its not really riots job to try and save a dying region especially when they can just uplift a growing region.

won't happen as PRX will most likely do well and auto qualify to the main event (cups)

I dont see how the viewership difference between ph and vietnam, indonesia is huge tbh. Its just that ph has more tier 2 talent. So I don’t understand why ph doesnt have its own region yet indonesia and vietnam have their own.
PH should have better viewership, especially with more population, more teams, and tier 1 representaiton

VN has a huge league fanbase, so I guess riot are hoping that they can capture the same market with valorant
you can't compare population for viewership unless the population is SUPER BIG (like CN) or SUPER SMALL (like SG) - those are the obvious ones that can be compared easily
PH has almost the same population as JP but their viewership is definitely way lesser than JP
Most PH fans literally stopped supporting ts because of that fucker and it snowballed into this situation
honestly this is all because of TS partnership and nepotism, otherwise I don't know the reason
