I think people are confusing partnered teams slot with open qualifiers regions. Partnered teams will be different.
no actually leo faria reposted a tweet which says there will be LCQs between SA and OCE, separate from this wildcard thing, otherwise they would have mentioned SA and OCE in wildcard spot as nobody includes South asia with ROSEA

Bro partnenerd teams won't necessary get selected on open regional basis. This way prx can't be a partnered team as they are sg team.
All I m saying is stop confusing open qualifiers regions with partnered teams. Just because vietnam has a region for qualifiers. It doesn't means that there will be a partnered vietnam org. Imo an sa org can be a partnered team.

Bro they are still updating it. South Asian org can be partnered despite being a wildcard region as prx is also part of wildcard region . Singapore and Malaysia are part of wildcard.

Also don't worry. Even riot knows that sa without any sub region or partnered team will be dead. They can only compensate this by having 1 partnered sa org. It could be s8ul or ge.

PRX: 2 MY/SG + 1 PH
GE: 2 PH + 1 OCE
There can be 2 imports for each team starting next franchise, so forsaken and something for prx imports and udotan and kr1stal for GE imports
i wasn't including the ascension teams, just the original 10 partners. so -4 +2
FUR instead of one of the NA teams could also happen

LOUD may be a shit org but they are way to popular to get cut, and I cant see Brazil having as many teams as NA. Looking at the original 10 partners it was a 5/5 split between North and South America, which I think they'll keep.

I think that's why sea has been given alot of sub regions.
2 jpn teams for viewership mainly. 2 kr for competitive along with kr sub region too. 1 sa because this is the only way to balance what they have done to sa in open qualifiers
SA teams failed to represent their region. What GE did today isn’t what Riot envisioned three years ago. And I don’t think a team built on Indian talent would be good enough, even if a new SA team gets the chance to be partnered next year

It is too much . The region growth rate is slow and most likely no team will make out of wildcard. So to compensate that the only choice is to have a partnered sa team. About ge, they will get replaced by s8ul . S8ul with current ge roster will get more watching . We know sa talent won't do well but for watching they have to keep 1 sa partnered team or else the region will be dead
SA has had a franchise team for three years, and it doesn’t just work like that. If they get partnered, they’ll lose to every team under the new import rule. Bro you can’t just remove one KR team and keep an SA team. They need to grind and develop their own talent. Tier1 is not the place to develop the tier3 players
Unfortunately if this doesn't happen, val will die in sa in 2-3 years. Indian players are already overpaid for their performance. To keep sa audience alive , this is the only way
If riot cares that much about competitiveness , 2 jpn teams doesn't make sense, but riot will do it because of viewership.
It is the same with sa. No sa org will kill the scene Unless some team have a miracle run next year
You can’t compare SA to JP. JP is much stronger as a region. They have Japanese players on their teams, some legacy in international events, actual good talent, a fanbase with purchasing power, and second best viewership number after China
But still jpn is a weaker region from competition point of view. Sea and kr have way better quality

The issue is val is a heavy loss making investment in sa. The region growth rate is slow compared to others. So to keep the region alive,you need to have something like this. The orgs would stop investing in 2-3 years and val eSports will be dead in sa. Also sa veiwership is actually good especially with s8ul . If riot gives slot to only 1 jpn team then it make sense to completely ignore sa.
My point is that SA talent is much worse than JP. Even if you think JP is weak, a team with three Indian players should start in Tier 2, not Tier 1. You might not see it yet, but putting SA in SEA would help SA improve. Even right now, VN is the weakest sub‑region in SEA, but they’ve improved and developed so much from last year

Also considering that wildcard regions are more competitive than indo and vietnam currently.sa players will need time but unfortunately orgs doens't have unlimeted money and audience doens't have that much patience to w8. Also sa too has improved in quality but still the wildcard region will be too tough to beat. Even vietnam would fail in wildcard.
- Poor management(kioked crws for their player)
- How they treat the player(Thyy, Sephiroth, etc)
- Media issues (Vct APAC is based in Korea, but FS only does media when players are in Thailand)
- Financial Problem
They're probably one of the worst orgs in VCT.
