Nah, they have to be allowed in second round of swiss, otherwise there's literally no point to using swiss and they should just go back to 4 team double elim groups with regions separated.

why do they have to be allowed? There can still be different match ups without the regional one's
Like in lowers it could be either xlg ge and drg fs or xlg fs and drg ge, same in uppers

One wasn't even possible, we had 2 americas and 2 emea teams in the 1-0 and then 2 chinese and 2 apac teams in the 0-1... that means 1 regional matchup either side would automatically result in 2

Another point why this Swiss looks so ass is because all of these teams are so boring to neutrals that make these matchups underwhelming. I mean Toronto last year we used to get liquid, heretics, geng, prx in Swiss
