It is cope if you say EWC doesn’t matter. I would argue that it’s on par with a masters event. Yes the production is shit but the actual format this year won’t be terrible like last year.

Saying "2025 EWC champion" has much less aura and significance than saying "2026 EMEA Stage 1 champions"

mickey means the tournament is insignificant / teams arent trying / invitational or low prize pool
none of that is true for EWC

Isnt the prize pool huge? Pretty sure there are a lot of teams that dont have a shot at Champs and if you're one of the 32 teams not going this is the most important event of the year no?
Its a good tourney annoying part is 2nd and 3rd seeds in regionals get kinda get kinda fucked and bo1 groups + Single elim playoffs(hopefully they change that tho)
