there was a thread i think from camera man talking about how it was unprofessional to shorten players' names, which i kinda disagreed with because of the average actions per second in a game like val. then, the shortened name is incorporated into regular moments slower rounds, which is less acceptable, but still understandable.
why have americas casters not siphoned the nickname Dre (For Babybay, his name is Andrej) out of their vocab? Yes you're friends with him, you worked with him as Americas casters, but still it feels so weird. Just like how there are pacific casters who will call PRX players by their real names (i only watch prx games bc they're at 3am), it just feels weird.
