Marved joined Sentinels as its sixth man a few months into the 2023 season, first competing in place of TenZ , who contracted COVID, and then entering the starting lineup alongside him after a different player was suspended. Marved reunited with the ENVY/OpTic core in 2024, which he played with NRG, but has been out of VCT since. Primarily a Controller player for most of his career, Marved may be able to fill johnqt's role with little to no issue, but the team is still without a primary shot caller. This will be the second time this year that Sentinels has competed with a stand-in, as Victor was brought on while Jerrwin dealt with visa issues at the beginning of Stage 1. While appendectomy recovery times vary, johnqt may be out until the team's third matchweek by the earliest.
