i mean ofc shotguns were used but not the meta, not that teams would abuse every single round . def allot less than 2026 .
teams would prefer vandal phantom and play tactical than shotguns
I get what you're trying to say but I'm pretty sure forsaken was spray transferring with an odin and something spent half the game on a shorty and the other half in jett ult and ops. People were abusing shit back then too. It just feels like they weren't partially because they weren't as good at it as they are today. Dambi on shotguns and brawk on odin has kinda shown the world how bad it can get. Which is funny cause no one else can abuse it like them.
it's not the meta. And tbh, I think it was twisten (RIP his soul) who is kinda popularized the shorty "meta" at that time
i honestly loved 2025 champs time. most fun to watch for me. felt like anyone could use anything. didnt feel like there was a fixed meta.
I can think we all can agree this is one of the worst metas we have had either playing the game or watching it feels repetitive and boring
