why are there like 15 masters events in 2021 and which ones matter more than others

the only 2 masters that actually mattered were Reykjavik and Berlin. There were travel restrictions due to the pandemic which is why the first masters of the year was regional instead of international
They were regional "masters." Basically they were the stages of right now to qualify to the LAN (these "masters" were also played all online I belive)
