I said they should switch Mazino to smokes and Zekken to Flash/Duelist and I got called a terrorist
Mazino is great on smokes, idk why people think that’s a crazy statement

they need to kick tex and get Less and put zekken on duelist/init and let Less play senti and smokes
realistically if you need a smokes player you just drop zekken before switching mazino off of flashes
what i was thinking. mazinos best role is that flex initator flash role. its what made him crazy on his MVP for lev in stage 2. on smokes hes a absolute terrorist
I don't even think Mazino has looked bad on smokes this year, a lot better then he did when he was on it permanently in 2023. The problem is that it's just a huge waste to keep him off flashes. I've been saying this since this MIBR roster first came together, zekken has no role when all of his best agents are covered by Aspas, Verno and Mazino, who each do them better then he does. \
According to zekken every team he was in talks with during the offseason wanted him on smokes/2nd duelist, I genuinely want to know what every coach collectively smoked to think this was a good idea.
my guess is teams were too scared to give up their main duelist, even though zekken is an upgrade for every team except for mibr at that role
maybe zekken wanted to also just play another role. not sure. but picking up a star duelist just for him to play a new role that doesn't fit his identity is a terrible idea
probably thinking about turning him into the second tenz as he cant really play jett or any role with an operator.

He’s a world class flex because he can play anything that ISNT smokes lmao. There isn’t a player in this world that can play every role at an elite level (that includes forsaken btw)

Why are you just assuming that the Waylay nerf is coming? They’ve done nothing to indicate that it is. Even if it is, they can use those same roles except zekken on recon/flash depending on what they want to put him on
Seems like you’re pretty unfamiliar with zekken so I’ll just tell you, he literally built his career off his initiator play, not duelist. Obviously in 2024 he transitioned and he’s always played a bit of raze/neon/jett but he was mostly a Skye/Sova back on XSET

not only that they also took out fracture for sunset so you literally had to adapt to the tejo nerfs AND map pool changes

Aspas was playing a lot of Yoru, but with the nerfs hes probably going to play Waylay/Jett/Raze
I guess Verno would have to be the Skye? Or Mazino?
Im a big fan of Verno’s Sova and Fade
I can only remember 1 Skye game from him on MIBR, hes been perma SovaFade for a very long time (And Tejo in Stage 1 2025)
Verno on buffed Skye might give him more opportunities to create plays with the flashes
It’s been an incredibly long time since Verno played Skye tbf, no idea if he even ever played it in VCL so he’s probably a bit rusty on her but when Verno was first being scouted as a talent, that was his bread and butter. He will be good on it
Well, at least he has more practice on Yoru for his duelist agent pool
Now its just back to comfort if Yoru is dead
