Why do people hate G2 so much? Most of the claims are centered around an ascension team winning and teams that have not won before (G2 marks both boxes). Just genuinely curious. No hate.
Also NS played really well yesterday, but so did G2, we forget that.
They are a seasoned team with no really interesting storyline, and when that weighs up against ascension teams and fucking AG for example, it's very easy to root for the clear underdogs in the latter.
Okay, I get it. I cheer regionally if my team gets knocked out. But I understand the point.
i like g2 because you can't hate valyn, really humble hardworking guy who is also world class not just in his role but as an overall player too.

So why do people not hate BBL then?
They have bigger egos than everyone else in the tournament
Every team has reasons to love and hate. Here are probably the reasons to hate G2:
- Making drama, shitposting, memes, trash talk, beefing other teams to get views all over the media. G2 is well known for the 🤡 in every esports they invest. that how they do marketing to attract teenagers.
- farming in region but not win a single major trophy. have the potential to win but still fail to this day. People start to hope they remain that "potential" like forever until they disband.
People might take those reasons to hate or they don't really hate them, they just want to rage bait G2.
Many people not hate but love teasing the players, especially Babybay. There are abundant materials to make a troll thread about this team because of how the org orients the way the team makes content for self-advertising purposes.
I like g2, I just thought it was funny that they were getting logged and they cudnt do anything. I like g2 but oh boy they couldn't do shit against dambi
