What if the impossible happens? Lose to mibr, then lose to g2 and then lose to nrg. It would really be tragic to play 3 bo5 only not to make it. (Probably the shittest situation and most unfair for winning upper bracket games)
Imo upper and middle bracket final games should be b03, and all lower bracket being bo5. I know that sounds goofy, but doesn't it heavily punish teams that are 2-0 or 2-1?

Maybe. I judt feel playing two b05 back to back exposes your team strats so much. And your map pools. You dont even get double bans for being the upper bracket seeds.
i mean you could apply the same logic to mibr, if they lose vs furia they could most likely lose all of them given that g2 has 1 week of prep for some reason
Could work very well. That's why I feel like all upper and middle bracket games should be b03. And then we can have lower semi-final and lower final to be b05. (As a punishment for those who lose early twice in a row and as a reward for teams going 2-0 or 2-1)

Unfortunately it's an extremely possible scenario given that this is the current Americas Big 3 that FURIA may need to face. Even worse is if FURIA becomes demoralised by missing Santiago and revert back to bottom-feeders.
I'm afraid because I thought NRG would beat G2 in the middle bracket. Damnit. I originally have MIBR winning upper bracket but now I want Furia to win to avoid a G2 rematch. :(
NRG and MIBR are not that good rn they should be fine and if they can't beat them then they don't deserve it
