ns have a really good read on the meta and their individuals look good, they were outaiming t1 with their solved double duelist
xlg and drg we havent seen much of but if drg keep playing solo tejo and reyna and shit then i cant put them higher even as a drg fan
DRG were already playing random bullshit and winning last year, that point does not stand with this team

drgs macro did not work with those comps and putting nicc constantly on shit initiators makes him look uncomfortable all the time

brother DRG's non functional macro made them the 2nd best team in china and allowed them to beat XLG twice? what are u talking about? The only init Nicc is incomfortable on is Sova he he barely gets to play it. And I'm not saying NS aren't good but this win doesn't make me think that they are better than either of XLG or DRG
it wasnt non function it just wasnt the majority approach and it was really good at countering weaknesses in china which is why nathand is a good coach regionally
cn teams are very weak to grouped fights on defaults and their macro on attack was good for setting up fights for spiritz1 and akeman
unconvential doesnt mean it doesnt work, different approaches to the game such as prx in 2022 and 2023 doesnt mean they dont have a clue on what theyre doing its impressive that they are able to execute such atypical ideas so well.
normally these comps enable this stuff, such as the neon harbor icebox comp last year or the triple smokes icebox comp on fpx but there was just no world in which the abyss comp would both work at this high of a level and work for what they wanted to do. its shit for both playing passive and aggressive no matter how hard you try, which is not something you see before where they are playing non conventional agents on the map in order to set up the fights and condition opponents. none of the abyss comp aims at that and its not like prior abyss comps that actually allowed them to play the map normally.
g2 scraped by a team with v0r0 on it, they've done nothing impressive this year
