VLR cattle when a low ranked team in pacific beats GENG/PRX/T1:
"wow look how competitive our region is we are so far ahead!!!"
when a lower ranked team in EMEA beats a top team:
"this region is winning 0 trophies again zero team region ๐น๐น"

fluking without dropping a series and double elimming the runner up
just put the fries in the bag gang
lucked out against mibr, aspas will wipe the floor with these bums soon and get his revenge
believing aspas will do anything other than statpad in the year 2026. Over 3 years later since champs 2022 and you still haven't realized it yet? ๐
don't even argue with MEMEA brains about flukes, they are low IQ enough to try and convince you that Lock In a single elim format with completely new teams is somehow less of a fluke than winning champs without dropping a series.
Winning through upper bracket and nearly 3-0ing the finals, truly a fluke run LOL
agreed. not sure where ive seen it before but it seems like a great idea
i mean they dont really perform in internationals compared to the other regions
and if anyone does perform its always just fnc
by what standards? by average placement emea is pretty up there its literally just wins that we fall behind on at an international level, literally what international have emea not performed at?
last champs for example we were literally tied with americas in every placement except we got 2nd they got 1st (we tied 5th-6th and 7th-8th) better than pacific or china
bangkok we had the same average as americas, both better than china worse than pacific
the only internationals we have flopped at were toronto and madrid (liquid also had a sub at toronto), and pacific have arguably flopped at the last 2 champs which is just as bad, the only legitimate statement for emea being weak is no trophies, every other metric we are comparable to americas and pacific
i mean the finalists in bangkok were apac and americas, the other 2 it was fnc + other team thats why i said always fnc
in 2024, fnc was shit so i'll give props to heretics but i haven't seen anything else since
in 2023, it was fnatic loud prx eg, so once again fnatic
fnc were still doing well at internationals in 2024 they only shit the bed first event, top 6 at champs and shanghai, hell fut was top 6 at shanghai aswell.
your statement literally only works if you ignore a third of the performances your looking at lmao.
so emea had a good year in 2024...?
even tho they didnt win anything so idk by what metric you're even measuring this
the metric being average placement at international events idk why thats a confusing metric what other metric would you measure the strength of a region by, and winning trophies doesnt improve the average strength of a region china has literally proven this
pretty sure americas had higher average placement at international events in 2024 tho
gimme a minute to check and ill let you know :)
5.75 + 5.3 + 2.5/3 = 4.5 - americas
7.25 + 4.6 + 6 /3 = 5.95 - emea
9.25 + 5.6 + 2.5/3 = 5.78 - pacific
so you were right :) by 0.17 pacific had a better average placement over the year than emea and americas was clear overall in 2024
Literally finished same in Champs as Americas outside of finals result. 2 teams topped their group, 3 made it to playoffs and 1 made it to finals. Liquid imploded and performed no were near their regional level.
outside of the finalists apac had better results and americas was tied, so if you add the finals result then americas is better for champs
apac did not have better results what the fuck are you talking about, apac didnt even have 3 team in playoffs americas and emea did???? and the last emea team tied with the 2 apac teams that didnt make it ???????
average placements of regions at champs puts americas and emea tied because SEN shit the bed and apac way behind
1+5+7+13 = 26/4 = 6.5 - americas
12+12+3+4 = 31/4 = 7.75 - apac
12+7+5+2 = 26/4 = 6.5 - emea
3rd is better than a 5-6th place and an 7-8th place combined
and then prx got 4th so....?
no shit if you remove the 2 highest performing teams from 2 regions they look worse than the other region what the fuck are you smoking, americas and emea literally BOTH look worse than apac if you remove the finalists
the guy was arguing about outside of finals result im just following a straight argument ๐คทโโ๏ธ
outside of finals result.
redoing the numbers (the 12's should have been 9's cause using lowest possible placements) actually puts americas in last even at champs lmao
1+5+7+13 = 26/4 = 6.5 (americas
9+9+3+4 = 25/4 = 6.25 (apac)
9+7+5+2 = 23/4 = 5.75 (emea)
How did APAC have better results? 2 teams grouped and 3rd, 4th placements. EMEA 7-8th, 5-6th and 2nd. Americas 7-8th, 5-6th and 1st.
outside of the finalists
3rd + 4th vs 5-6th vs 7-8th
can we read a bit harder
yea no fucking shit americas was worse than apac aswell if you remove the finalists
they don't really matter the other 2 placements are good enough to beat 3 of the placements
not looking at the 2 apac teams that didnt even make playoffs and went 12th 12th
Thats true but weird point to make when APAC didnt even make it to finals. Its just fact that purely on average placement both Americas and EMEA placed higher.
and edit: I mean difference of the finals matchup not teams outside of finals. Whoever won between FNC and NRG. Finals being the only difference.
they won bangkok and toronto they were definitely more competitive in 2025 as a whole internationally lol
BBL are playing really well but Fnatic have been sucking ass on both attack sides tbf
its because people love to romanticize apac and china. americas and emea just get hate
Personally, I've never said that about APAC. In fact I've always considered APAC a fraud region.
