Teleportation vs Mind reading(can turn off)
Which is better for a normal person?
I would choose teleportation as I would be able to visit more countries and learn about them. Mind reading is tempting because I can learn all the secrets the world has to offer, but I could maybe know some of them via teleportation to places with secret documents not accessible otherwise. also i get to go to the moon(with preparation) if i have teleportation

NEITHER. teleportation would completely disintegrate your entire body and rebuild it at the place you teleport too making you not the same human and just a shell of what you were before. every time you teleport you die. also mind reading would suck if there was no way to turn it off.
Technically you aren’t the same human every second you’re alive. your atoms constantly get replaced and eventually most of your original atoms are replaced. I personally believe in “my memories define who i am” rather than some atoms, so I wouldn’t care if a clone took my place when I died.

Mind reading if no repercussions - many people are paralysed or in vegetative state, it would be nice if I can convey their messages to their loved ones

Mind reading. Teleportation is better overall, but it would be almost impossible to use it without other people knowing and there would be risks like imagine teleporting and there's just car about to drive over it etc. Also like I said if people knew you had this power it would become impossible to live normal life and governments would do their best to catch you. Mind reading is more boring and I likely wouldn't use it often, but you wouldn't get caught by it. But if we ignore all that and superpowers were normal then teleportation would be much better.

You think big governments like US, China etc. wouldn't want to put you in controller environment and study you so they could gain your ability? Or they wouldn't straight on want to use you as their pawn? If someone had actual superpowers they would be top priority for powerful agencies. They would track you and your family for rest of your life, likely even threaten and eventually catch you. You would become living weapon pretty much and that alone could be used as reasoning for your capture.
