invy joins after spending the last three seasons with Team Secret. While he was fielded mainly as the team's Initiator player, he also showed off his ability to flex into the Sentinel role in 2025, which could prove to be a valuable asset for Paper Rex.
“As VALORANT matures beyond its 5th year, the VCT circuit is more competitive than ever, and we must evolve and iterate faster to achieve our goals," PRX's Chief Gaming Officer Harley Örvall. "The coaches and players have worked hard over the offseason and determined that adding a seasoned player like invy to the PRX family allows us to upgrade our firepower."
On a squad that has no fewer than four players who can play the Duelist role to a complete degree, Paper Rex's usually fluid agent pool became more structured in 2025 following the departure of core member mindfreak . In his place, PRX signed PatMen, who played the recon Initiator role for the squad. As a result, f0rsakeN settled into the Controller role, while something became the team's full-time Duelist. d4v41 handled Sentinel and secondary Controller duties, while certain comps also put Raze player Jinggg on Sentinel duties. The change brought forward success, as PRX bounced back from a disappointing Kickoff to qualify for and eventually win Masters Toronto for its first-ever international trophy. A trophy-lifting Stage 2 run was then followed up by a fourth-place finish at Champions Paris.
In invy, PRX adds not just an Initiator player, but a player who can add flexibility with proven firepower. Despite Team Secret going 1-4 in Stage 1, invy finished the event as its highest-rated player, a sign of his ability to perform. His addition gives coaches alecks and Wendler more flexibility when designing their agent comps, with invy able to juggle both the Initiator and Sentinel roles.
