Are USA and Canada the same country ?
i’m 16 and i said it sucks not that im desiring move out (it mainly sucks cuz of school otherwise it sucks a bit less)
im 17 also then say school sucks america doesnt as a son of immigrant parents who waited 2yrs to get a visa so that they could just work in the country . Like uk many ppl would legit do anything to just be in the country .
my parents too, but im just being real
its not as great as ppl think it is
the "american dream" is just a facade atp
theres some rlly good things but just as many bad things
exactly and how much shit the most schools feeds u btw i wasn't an immigrant I was born here
last thing i need is someone like u talking to me im ngl i expressed my opinions ive lived in 3rd world countries and 1st world countries
pov you aren’t allowed to want things to be better bc they could also be worse
I disagree with u
The american dream facade is only true for 5 cities Boston , NYC , LA , SA and Miami because of the sheer rise in living costs of these cities . In most other cities you can live a very comfortable life with the median household of the country .
thats fair, and maybe thats bc im attracted towards "city life" so its just a bias or smth.
like dude as an LAer like unless if u make 150k an year ur gonna be very tight with money and have to budget very thoroughly like I am so lucky to have a dad who worked his butt of to give me a super luxurious life or else I would not have lived the life I am living rn . BTW I never was an immigrant I was born in the states .
yeah 100% respect ur opinions, me personally its just so fun to me im looking to live in miami or LA and just kick it and living in a suburbian area is just so not like me, im js sick of it, yk? so maybe thats why im so harsh on it
also alot of the policies just pmo like as someone here mentioned healthcare, insurance, shit like that (ESP IN CALIFORNIA)
ya I can 100% understand you my advice is dont move to these cities if u dont get a 100k/yr pay or figured out to make that much . Trust me IK single ppl living in LA making 75-80k/yr living on insanely tight budget while being single and sharing appartments . In miami is slightly more forgiving than LA . Like im not trying to discourage you I'm telling you the grounf reality of what is happening over here . Like listen I dont want to discourage you but the thing is living on an insanely tight budget sucks so ya .
basically canadians just act nicer and have higher cost of living as compared to the US
i mean healthcare was reletively not that expensive then they introduced obama care and ya like my mom had surgery in 2003 the bill was around 4.5K USD inflation adjusted that maybe costs btw 7k-8k that was from the best hospital in LA . Now that same surgery in that hospital costs 20K atleast so ya. Like the premiums and deductibles are so ridiculously high its crazy
ya sure like infact in the early 2000s they had relatively moderate healthcare prices then like uk obamacare and then the price of deductibles and premiums legit skyrocketted so hospital bills legit increased by a lot . I am not trying to sell u an agenda u can try and read abt it .
I've only been to Ontario, but culturally, at least Ontario is very similar to the US. if you deny this, you are wrong.
