I was bored last night and decided to track every single comp on every map played yesterday. There were 8 games of Split and 7 of Haven, so a decently large sample size to look at at what teams are playing nowadays.
SPLIT
Controller - Astra 43.8%, Omen 56.2%
Out of the 8 games there were seven non-mirror matchups. Astra won 4 of them, and Omen won 3. So the debate between Omen-Astra is still ongoing, it seems both are viable.
Sentinel - Viper 50%, Chamber 12.5%, Killjoy 12.5%, Deadlock 12.5%, Cypher 6.3%, Veto 6.3%
Most teams still run Viper, and a lot run her and no other sentinel. A lot of the comps with other sentinels have Viper as their flex - we'll talk on this later. For now, though, note that Viper-as-a-sentinel comps have a 50% non-mirror win rate on low sample size. None of the others have a win rate above 50% except for Cypher, who won his only matchup. So it looks like this is also still up for debate.
Duelist - Waylay 50%, Raze 50%
Out of only 2 non-mirror matchups here, Raze won both. So Raze has a slightly higher win rate than Waylay, probably not enough to draw any conclusions from though, but it seems like these two are both very popular.
Flex - Yoru 37.5%, Viper 37.5%, Breach 6.3%, Sage 6.3%, Neon 6.3%, Reyna 6.3%
Most teams either run double duelist or double controller (though most double duelist comps had Viper as their sentinel, so basically everyone runs double controller to some extent). In Yoru-flex vs Viper-flex matchups, the winrate was 50% for both. The other ones were all mirror matchups, so no conclusions can really be drawn from there. Breach was interesting - it was the only non-Viper comp to win a game. Other than that, I think the only thing that can be said is that both are viable.
Initiator - Fade 50%, Skye 43.8%, Sova 6.3%
IDK why someone picked Sova, but they lost. Fade won all four of their non-mirror matchups, and Skye lost three. So as of now Fade is the better option in terms of this sample size.
TL;DR: Omen - Viper - Raze - Yoru - Fade is a good comp. Alt comp - Astra - Chamber - Waylay - Breach - Skye.
HAVEN
Controller - Omen 78.6%, Astra 21.4%
While Astra was actually 2-1 in non-mirror matchups, I don't think that Omen is necessarily the worse pick. Maybe Astra is viable, but a lot of teams will still prefer Omen.
Sentinel - Killjoy 64.3%, Cypher 28.6%, Chamber 7.1%
Killjoy won both of her matchups with Cypher but lost to Chamber. Despite this I think that Killjoy is still the best sentinel overall.
Duelist - Neon 71.4%, Jett 14.3%, Yoru 14.3%
Neon won all four of her non-mirror matchups - that is to say, Jett and Yoru as primary duelists both won 0 games. So Neon is probably the best duelist.
Flex - Viper 50%, Yoru 28.6%, Breach 7.1%, Iso 7.1%, Harbor 7.1%
Viper again was the most common and won all her non-mirror matchups. Yoru lost all his - so no team running Yoru ever won a non-mirror matchup. Breach and Iso won their, to be fair, but Viper is probably the best flex slot.
Initiator - Sova 92.9%, Skye 7.1%
The team that picked Skye was SRB and they actually won against Furia. Despite this Sova is 100% the better option.
TL;DR Omen - Killjoy - Neon - Viper - Sova is still meta. Alt comp - Astra - Cypher - Jett - Yoru - Skye.
