I think Mazino is a legendary pull and not talked about too much.

While he did not do too well this year individually, he was a top tier flash initiator who happened to play scan this season because of meta shifts. Now that double duelist is likely to fall off in the upcoming season, Mazino can play his main roles: flash and smokes flex. aspas is also very comfortable with Mazino so they synergize together very well.

It is challenging to confidently say there is an another player in Americas that is more proficient than Mazino at playing both flash initiators AND smokes flex. Off the top of my head, Ethan is one of the rare initiators that can play smokes.

What a fucking pull.

Now that double duelist is likely to fall off in the upcoming season

i think next year the double duelist meta is gonna be really strong cuz of the nerf to initiators and abilities in general, it’s a meta that’s gonna benefit mibr a lot

also, mazino is probably the best harbor in the world, and harbor is getting a buff now, mazino is the best flex possible to duo with aspas, they have synergy, they’re super close friends and they played really well together on leviatán last year

and we’re also not even talking about how next year’s meta will be chamber, since the game is gonna be more aim-based and less skill spam, and tex is a GREAT chamber cuz he even says he prefers playing awp over rifle

the horizon looks really positive for mibr

I have reason to believe that the opposite will happen. Solo initiator will be underwhelming so doubling up either on smokes or initiators will be the norm.

Not necessarily. On paper, tex seems like a horrible pick, but like mazino, most of his hate is derived from his performance this year.

I would not count him out as I remember during 2024 his pacing with his team and moreso with aspas was very synced unlike what we have seen with MIBR this year.

I also remember Tex having a good read on the game and where players are at. He also performed well individually as well.

My main issue is with the recent initiator nerfs. Solo initiator (especially recon) will be very underwhelming and in that position, opting for double smokes or double initiator may be the move rather than two duelists.

yoru can still challenge map control really well and they didn’t nerf what made him strong truly, he can gain information and is still great at defaulting

viper got an indirect buff from all the initiator changes, the only second initiator i see getting play is skye or kay/o but that’s about it
