Don't u think it's a bit too much to have a double map ban advantage in the grand finals? I get they won the upper bracket and they get rewarded but the team that loses the upper bracket is punished hard by playing the lower finals the next day and then grand finals the very next.
I mean it's the grand finals...it is played to crown the best...so wouldn't u want a fair final?

In the Bo3, Bind definitely felt like a map that both teams were not comfortable playing. FNC had lost Bind twice leading up to the match and NRG leaving that and Sunset open felt like a trap if you pick either. Of course, the first bans in those series were more target bans against the strongest maps that they both have in their pool, but it was probably stuck in FNC's head that they had better odds on Ascent since they had a pretty decent comp.

I think definitely needs some change atp like not taking away the advantage ofc like you win upper bracket deserved it also no cope even FNC won Tokyo because of double ban but I don’t have any idea what you are gonna change about it what advantage would you give them
Bro it doesn't need a change every year since 2022 at least one team won without the map ban advantage. It's just down to who has the better map pool.

I think you could at least give the other team the choice of being team A or B after the double ban if people feel a change is needed
Buddy the upper bracket already have a day off and can literally see the Vods of their opponent for the finals and team in the lowers have very short time to prepare and rest and then play back to back bo5. It's good enough like double map ban looks stupid to me.

It's pretty fair. It is a big advantage but not losing a match in playoffs is really hard
Kind of unfair you get a lot of time off + yk all 5 maps to play in advance+ u get ur opponents vods frm lowers. But I can't really think of any other advantage to give
I honestly prefer this over a grand final reset in a double-elimination format. Valorant is way too long of a game for this.
They could pick 2 maps in a row instead of banning 2 maps. I'm also coping because Fnatic lost 2 times in a row because of double map veto lol

Think about this way. The playoffs is double elim, but once you make grand finals the lower bracket is gone. This means the team that makes finals from the upper bracket never gets a second life. Some kind of advantage is deserved for that. I agree though that double map ban is a bit too much. Maybe there could be a system where the upper bracket team gets their first map pick before the other team's first ban, that way they are guaranteed to get their best map but can't completely wreck the other team's pool.
if you win, you get rewarded, if you lose,,,,, you get an extra life but you will get punished no matter what. until the grand finals, the teams have a fall back and that is HUGE. the winner gets an extra day to rest while loser has to play back to back to back riding the momentum. This is the best format.
I mean PRX has lost two finals with a map ban advantage. At the end of the day you just gotta have a good map pool.

I support the upper bracket team getting a reward
But not having to play the extra game and one gap day between upper final and grand final is in itself a pretty good advantage.
If you're gonna have double map bans, let the other team decide the order of maps atleast.
