Chronicle is the greatest.
And aspas is the best.
OR IS HE?
Let’s break down the myth — and why aspas being the best player doesn’t really hold up under pressure.
If we go by dominance at peak form, then players like TenZ, Derke, and yay have had performances that not only rival but eclipse aspas — and they did it when it mattered most.
Yes, aspas has some records.
But records without context are just empty numbers.
Let's talk about his supposed "best" status.
People love saying "aspas was always the best on his team."
But that’s just flat-out false.
In his only title win — Champions 2022 with LOUD — aspas was statistically the 4th best player on his own team.
Yes, fourth.
Less, pancada, and Sacy all outperformed him in rating, KD, impact, and clutches during that run.
Pancada had a 1.75 KD and +15 differential in the Grand Finals vs OpTic.
Less had ~1.55 KD and was a rock every single map.
Aspas?
Solid — but nothing GOAT-worthy.
Then came Leviatán.
This was supposed to be his redemption arc — instead, he turned in average duelist numbers, finishing as the 11th best player at Champions.
That's barely above role expectations.
And let’s not forget his 0.53 rating at Masters Toronto with MIBR — one of the worst LAN showings for any top-tier duelist ever.
So what are we really looking at?
A player who:
Has one international trophy,
Wasn’t the best in that run,
Crashed out of later events with mid to low stats,
And peaked statistically in tournaments LOUD didn’t win.
Yes, aspas led VCT 2023 in kills with over 1,400.
He also dropped 80 kills in a BO3 vs NRG (Champions 2025), and even set an earlier record with 82 kills.
But here’s the thing:
Volume ≠ dominance.
That record happened in a series LOUD still lost.
Meanwhile, let’s look at someone who actually owned multiple eras:
🐐 Chronicle
1st player to win 3 international LANs: Masters Berlin (2021), LOCK//IN (2023), Masters Tokyo (2023)
Titles with two completely different teams
Played multiple roles (flex, initiator, controller) and excelled
Near-top KDA and rating in every title run
Chron isn’t flashy.
He just wins.
At Tokyo 2023, Chronicle was arguably MVP, carrying Fnatic in clutch moments.
At LOCK//IN, he was once again elite.
And even now, in 2025, he continues to deliver at the highest level, while aspas is… not even in the conversation. n1 going 5th-6th (crazy achievement)

Chronicle is the greatest VALORANT player of all time.
Aspas? A close second, sure.
But being the best for a few months doesn’t mean you’re the GOAT.
And if we’re being honest — he might not even be top 3.
