I think it would work best if there were 6 NA and 6 SA teams (3 BR, etc.) they are hosted separately as VCT americas and then the top 4 for each subregion come together in playoffs to make the slots for an international
mid table 3/6 and bottom half team (4/6) make playoffs? No one would bother trying. Every player would be extremely neglectful and lack motivation if bottom feeders can easily make playoffs. Uncompetitive af.
8 teams in each league
6 BR (FÚR, LOUD, MIBR, PNG, RED, VKS) 2 LAS (KRU, LEV)
6 NA (100T, C9, EG, G2, NRG, SEN) 2 LAN (6K, EXL)
I still think they will split apac too and reduce the number of teams to 8 in each region, having 6 regions with a total of 48 teams (keeping it as it is today)
EMEA just becomes the strongest region by far if we split APAC and Americas which could end up hurting the region since talent may go to other regions where its easier to qualify
replace C9 or EG instead of NRG, atleast NRG pay well and make exciting roster moves (plus if C9 get removed then 100T Oxy is a 1% possibility)
South NA should have their own region. Nobody wants to see their boring games

that's not happening, plus we don't even know if riot has confirmed the south american/brazilian region yet (biased report said considering not confirmed) (which would be stupid considering their abysmal performances this year) - the report is from a brazilian source, not from riot
Horrible news that would both make the 2 region weaker. The problems of both NA and SA, is the league is located in the worst city in the whole continent.
Remember that Americas have less player than EMEA and APAC, if the tendencies continue APAC will have x2 the number of player of AMER in 5 years

this is a crazy idea? as #29 said, the bottom 7 teams in americas are all latam/brazil + eg (furia, mibr, loud, kru, 2g, lev). Like it's unfortunate but true (ex. 5/5 confirmed playoff spots are na). That's why EMEA is europe middle east africa but you don't see any african players in emea do you?
everyone agrees that they're just worse this year, sad but true. Why give them 6-6?
