[YAP]

More teams, more spots, more talent, more matches.
"Why so many SA teams?" Cuz there are already 6 NA teams and the south Americans have a tendency to ALSO hire Na talent
This way we get enough SA talent to properly represent the region without sacrificing NA

C9
Oxy | Mitch | Vic | Som | Eeiu
EG
Boostio | Icy | Derrek | Yay | Supamen [the Potter dependants]
100T
Sign Burger Boyz [i don't really know what to do with the org, I just want to free some players]
SEN
Zekken | JohnQT | Zellsis | Bang | Narrate or Verno
NRG
Ethan | Skuba | Cryo | Mada | Brawk
G2
[Overall same rosters, but im open to suggestions]

[New entries, New teams, New talent]
W7M
Less | Pancada | Saadhak | Askia | Siduzord (Comfort roster, Saadhak gets a flexible duelist and a Second IGL to share calling)
PAIN
Dgzin | Xand | Qck | GuhRVN | Pollo [weird roster i know, i interpret this more as a last dance for underrated players]
FURIA
Basic | Tuyz | Palla | Urango | Heat

2G
Gobera | Lz | Spikezin | Silentzz | Pryze
MIBR
Cortezia | Xenom | Artzin | Sato | Sacy or Stellar or Ghoul33 or Cauanzin
LOUD
Lukxo | Brinks | Shion | Blowz | Ghoul33 | Zanatsu | Cauanzin

E-XOLO
Virtyy | Darker | Mited | Cebando | Feniz
9Z
Nicomachine | Phc | Adverso | Mta | Rubkkoide
LEV
Kingg | Com | Tex | Okeanos | Canezerra
KRU
Melser | Shyy | DanteDeus | Mazino | Keznit

VCT AMERICAS would work with a 2 group Round robin
3 NA 2 LAT 3 BR no each group

I agree tho, Franchising's true problem is that 12 teams is clearly not enough

I forgot to put my reasoning why, but basically there is a tendency for NA talent to also join south American teams, so to balance that there would be a higher amount of SA teams

What u think of 8 fixed teams and 8 from open circuit?

#9

Great idea, hope it happens
My issue is with who and how it gets distributed
Cuz for any team that isn't from the LA region, qualifying for VCT comes at a HUGE financial cost

100t should get reduxx and vora, overall more NA teams need to start investing in t2 like how did okeanos end up going to lev

This is one of my points, NA has 6 spots and yet their talents get opportunities outside english speaking teams.

With more SA teams we get more SA talent but also allow for NA talent to find its way into franchising

"More teams, more spots"
Smaller slice, less money for org.
"more matches"
less average viewer, less hype

"Cuz there are already 6 NA teams and the south Americans have a tendency to ALSO hire Na talent"
More I think about it, and more I wonder if NA in SA team shouldn't be consider as an import, but to be fair main problem is Leviatan, drop them and replace them by E-Xolos, and we are good.

If you want more SA team, then we should go back to the idea Faria proposes : gives a chance to T2 team to qual to international event. By doing so you give a chance to the 4 #1 team of the 4 Americas region, so you have 16 teams in kickoff instead of 2 (It's only 8 games more), 4 T2 team in playoffs and not in groups (only 8 games more), and ascention winner having a shot against the seed 4 for the last place (1 game more)
By doing that, no x2 games, no talent dilution, and we get assured to have 3 SA team more (LAN, LAS, BR)

I see your point as correct but in a flawed system.
The problem with franchising is Mostly it's location, it's too expensive, there are less incentives with more teams yes, but that is mostly because of how much it costs to keep everything running in LA

More orgs means more shared offices which drive down living expenses which balance out the smaller incentives, plus the pistols make up a great incentive for the new orgs

In the case of the VCT2 qualifying for Internationals, I feel like as cool as it would be, it would cost even more due to venues and running the adjacent tournaments

"Less hype" maybe for NA viewers but I'm pretty sure most of SA would still watch, plus it means MORE GAMES, less of these weird 1 month hiatus, any other self respecting sport doesn't have these spaces

"The problem with franchising is Mostly it's location"
It's a problem even for NA team, everyone should move out of LA, they are so many less expansive city in the continent.

"More orgs means more shared offices which drive down living expenses which balance out the smaller incentives"
I dont get that point, can you elaborate

plus the pistols make up a great incentive for the new orgs"
Thats still less money for org, because if you add 33% of team, that doesnt mean you will have a raise of 33% of pistol buy (It's probably gonna stay the same)

"In the case of the VCT2 qualifying for Internationals, I feel like as cool as it would be, it would cost even more due to venues and running the adjacent tournaments"
Nope, it doesnt, it cost almost nothing since it's only 17 games more over the year, T2 team can afford to participate a double elim tournament that will be over in 2 weeks max, they already buy bootcamp, it's not that mush

"Less hype" maybe for NA viewers but I'm pretty sure most of SA would still watch, plus it means MORE GAMES, less of these weird 1 month hiatus, any other self respecting sport doesn't have these spaces "
I'm talking even for SA, more you have game less you have average view it's mechanics

The shared offices means they can split the maintenance costs, rent of the building, etc

Regarding the pistols, you are right it doesn't necessarily mean they will make up all the money, unfortunately the pistol bundles are WAYY too expensive in other regions, it's the equivalent of ~30% of a person's minimum wage in Brazil, which means that the amount of people that would buy don't.

I get that your formula might be correct for Valorant, but I'm confused as to why that is? Football, Basketball and American FootkickHandHoldball have a much higher amount of games than Valorant, so I don't understand why Valorant players melt after 10 yearly matches and Valorant viewers snooze after 6

Couldn't it be that the decline in viewership is due to match value rather than quantity of matches? There is less hype because Valorants system is so flawed we get too much games where the teams are just battling to not be at the bottom?

"Couldn't it be that the decline in viewership is due to match value rather than quantity of matches?"

  • I dont think they are a decline of viewer, it's sounds it's kinda the countrary, it's just if they are more game you might have some.

"The shared offices means they can split the maintenance costs, rent of the building, etc"

  • I don't think with 4 org team it would change a lot, best solution would be for Riot to buy 12 gaming house and rent them to the differents teams

"I get that your formula might be correct for Valorant, but I'm confused as to why that is? Football, Basketball and American FootkickHandHoldball have a much higher amount of games than Valorant"

  • I think on esport, most fan want to see everygame of a region, in sport, people only watch their team (Lot of team plays at the same time anyway).
  • Another reason is that in football team switch player, you will not have this in Val.
  • Also, the problem is the format, in football almost every team will play 34 games even if bad in their regionnal league, plus maybe 10 games for their local region (a game is 1h30~2h00 so a little bit less than a BO3), Val problem is that you have a team that will do 12 BO3 and get bored, while another team may do 30 games in their region, plus 25 international games, so you have team with 12 BO3 and other with 50 BO3, so best team can't have more games while worst team want more games.

So maybe the question is more "How can we offer more game to worst team and less to the best team", and this is hard, I have solution but I dont think people are ready for what I could propose there @.@

Afaik there isn't any other IGL that fits good enough, most are too inconsistent or retired to fit

Maybe if they picked up an import?

Not viable, it's the smallest T1 league in term of player, far behind APAC, and sightly after EMEA (that would raise when Russia would be recognized), we dont have data for China

Thanks a lot !
America together make it so mush more fun to watch more rivalries between SA and NA we just need a way to help SA team (Relocate league ? Give acces to winner of T2 meanning 3 more SA team, count NA as imports etc), many solution could be find but going to 24 team would be a mistake
