i recently started to aim train before i play ranked to warmup, using that voltaic playlist on aim labs, and it seems to help me warm up but do they really work in the long run? i want to know before i really get into it and invest dedicated time to it

It works but I would say try to train yourself in range as well as dms/tdms or otherwise just continue with aimlabs

yes if you suck at using mouse aim training is the best way to start with

deathmatches work much better but aimlabs isnt going to make you worse or anything, just make sure not to neglect your movement, crosshair placement, and movement reading

i think when learning fundementals like movent, aim, crosshair placement etc. its best to actually neglect all others to focus on one until it becomes natural to you. obv short term you might not do as well sitting still in all you fights but it will only teach you good habits long term and you can introduce each one with full focus.

yeah i just meant dont put all of your focus into aim and remember to make time to focus on the other aspects of the game, there are tons of super high level aimers with crazy voltaic scores stuck in gold/plat because their movement is horrible

If you’re SHIT SHIT like iron-plat it’s worth it as your lack any fundamental control of your mouse. Above that not much point as aim won’t be an issue in your game. Even if it is just do DMs and play ranked.

I have 400 hours in aim trainers and I’m master complete on voltaic but it’s pretty useless and I only do it because it’s fun

Either you play so much that your Raw Aim becomes so Goated that you don't require any Aim Trainer or you train my playing Kovaak's or Aimlab (any other app).

the way i see it if u new to valo and/or fps the aim labs should help if not just play dms

Never used aimlabs, just regular dm and I did reach asc with it. Idt its necessary unless your aim is very very bad

no im a 850 tracker score player in ascendant (obv not good but pretty good) just play 3 dms a day and play 2 comp games a day on weekdays and 4-5 on weekends and u will reach asc easily atleast

If you're just not very good at the game just play death match and grind ranked to get into higher elos/play against better opposition. But at some point aim training will be worth if you think that your raw aim actually limits you (eg; if you have good mechanics or over average gamesense but your ability to use your mouse the way you want to is restricting you)

aimlab is more like to that crosshair consistency, whereas deathmatch or TDM helps you to work both on your movement, crouching spray pattern and such etc. Aimlab works on your crosshair perspective factors on placement, speed and movement accuracy of your crosshair. So if you found out that you're kind of inconsistent with your crosshair thing, then go for it!

short answer, yes.

long answer, yes but only do it if you find it fun/rewarding and you hate DM. DM/TDM will always be better for in-game improvement. Its like training for a sport, lets use basketball as an example. You can go to the gym and train your body to jump higher, run faster and you will become a better athlete and you may get better at basketball. But if you just played basketball, ran drills, played pickup, worked on your shot in the gym, you are guaranteed improvement with time, you may become a better athlete in the process but you will undoubtedly become a better player.

Same thing with aim trainers you can become a better aimer and that may help you improve, but playing deathmatches will help you get better at valorant quicker than if you grind aim trainers. I remember a number that plenty of aim training community people say (viscose, mattyow) that no more than 10-15% of your play time should be spent in aim trainers.

But if you reach a plateau in your improvement, try what you can. Aim trainers certainly helped me when i was hard stuck ascendant.

GL with your improvement bro.

(Im immortal with a 60% vandal headshot and I have like 200 hours in kovaaks if you care about credentials)

It partially helps with you're aim, especially things like micro adjustments, crosshair pathing, tracking an enemy, but its doesn't really help with movement or recoil control which are just as important when aiming
