g2 in lowers were a MUCH better team then when they faced prx, if g2 played prx near the end of the tourney they would have beaten prx or at least put up way more of a fight
g2 excells at dissolving teams with fast exec playstyles like prx or 100t, its just they were coming into a new meta with no previous matches (which is not an excuse, but its still a reason). their matches in the lower bracket were way more convincing if you watched them you would know
i guarantee it if fnc had map ban advantage or if neither side had advantage they wouldve taken the series. they had to play their worst two maps which were prx best two maps (sunset and pearl) and they still were very competitive. If there was a haven or ascent in the pool then fnc would have easily taken the series
You can say all this but it still remains divorced from the truth. Its on you if you go down to losers bracket and in a gf a double map ban advantage is something that you forego when you lose during the earlier playoffs stage. Also double map ban isnt foolproof as evident by prx having the double map ban advantage in both copenhagen and LA but they lost both
yes i agree prx deserved to win the trophy, and ultimately part of the game is understanding brackets, having consistency, and carrying momentum, which prx did. But I am also saying that realistically lets be honest if we ran prx vs fnc 10 times through with our without map advantage for prx, fnc would most certainly take a large amount of the series.
did prx deserve toronto? yes of course they entered playoffs guns blazing and they carried that momentum to gfs.
is prx a better team than fnc overall? probably not fnc has a much more conservative playstyle that allows them a lot more flexibility than prx, but due to playing their 2 worst maps which coincidentally happened to be prx 2 best maps they lost the series
this is just how the game works
