When it comes to evaluating how great an individual player is. Look at other team sports. For example, in basketball, Bill Russell has 11 rings and yet is almost never considered the greatest player of all time. So why is it that people in vlr constantly bring up Chronicle's 3 rings as the reason he's the GOAT. He's a top 10 player, yes, but saying he's the greatest is like saying Scottie Pippen is the greatest basketball player of all time. Just doesn't make sense.

cuz Chronicle has been so good since 2021, very flexable in roles (Initiator in 2021, Chamber+Duelist in 2022, Flex+Sentinel 2023-2025)

I heavily prefer a player who performs in the big, close, competitive games than the one who farms in sweeps

The thing is that Chronicle has been one of the best players itw for years even if you ignore his achievements so he should be definitely be in the conversation. What you are saying applies more to jawgemo who despite his middling performances and unimpressive peaks is considered by some to be top 10 oat.

If you want to just look at individual events then there are plenty of times Chronicle was the best on his team but looking at the year as a whole you could argue 2021 and he was undoubtedly the best on his team in 2024.
Leo didn't play for half the year, alfajer looked like a shadow of his 2023 self and Derke was dreadful for half the year. In 2024 he was easily the best.
He was the best overall in the year I guess, but for international events, he never was the best. Even if we do go by year, FNC didn't really do anything besides get 5th - 6th place in Champs that entire year. That was Fnatic worst year no doubt. So in Chronicle's time as being the best in Fnatic over the course of the year, Fnatic barely accomplished anything. The only time he's find genuine success is when he isn't the best player (sometimes not even top 2).

Guys been good for 4 years, great in some years. And still decent in 2025. Only when it comes to chronicle do people mention that it was “farmer era” but not aspas pre-franchise champs trophy

Chronicle has those 3 trophies for a reason, he has been a toptier player for 4 whole years, he has proven himself across two different squads. If there was a player close to that then you can get talking but there isnt.
This is true for someone like Faker as well. If there was someone close to him, people would talk about things other than his trophies, but there isnt, so the trophy count is all you need
