i was watching the rnt vs vlt match and i just gotta ask one question why are the indian players so stagnant or behind other country's players both mechanically and game sense wise. Ive seen japan get better at valorant ive seen korea get better ive seen indonesia get better ive seen singapore get better the fuck is the problem with india. how come players like antidote have been stealing paychecks for 4 years and not get better. these dudes grind on the daily, there should be some sort of improvement, how are you still so bad. this is beyond my payroll dawg. theres no point in even having a full indian roster if indian players are mechanically this bad. probably only lightningfast is decent otherwise i dont think other players have much hope.

There's definitely improvement in some players and that will always be the case, some will improve some won't. Antidote is a special case cause I think he's the best Indian igl which always allows his teams to get 2 cracked imports so that's why he's always there.
Other than him, venka has improved, last season he used to overheat a lot more now he plays with his team more trades better understands timings better. LF has improved he looks so confident and assured playing within SA like he owns these lobbies. I could definitely bring up more examples if you'd like me to. It's just that not all players will improve cause yes some of them won't work as hard.

do you seriously think any of these players have the skill level to ACTUALLY compete with T2 players from SEA in ascension let alone T1 players?

I think there are only a few who can currently, LF venka and rossi come to mind.

That's just the off the top of my head lol, there's also yuvi, rawfiul, DM.

Also there's potential, just because there aren't many who can now doesn't mean there never will be.

I mean we barely have pool of 25 players I believe we are lucky we still have 2-3 good players everytime . I still remember 2021 time Enigma competed against SEA teams lost easily but Rawfiul and Rvk looked good enough to compete obviously times change players change but problem is same 2-3 good players and even they aren't consistent

Bro our val is full of old cs plyrs.
They are not paycheck stealers.
Our young plyrs just can't suppress them. Even players like excali and psy will outperform more than half of young indian plyrs.
These old cs plyrs have reached their limit and won't improve much, especially mechanically

They will. Our young indian plyrs are hard stuck immortals. Very few reached radiant once and then didn't bother to reach radiant.
We have seen only venka and techno as promising young talent.

venka, techno, yuvi, envy, trinxty, r1sen would diff them easy
I think you are just exaggerating it
There are some good rookies and it will take time for them to develop

all those other regions get to scrim with each other and also the VCT teams whereas Indian teams mostly play each other

they make their own happiness winning in india then get absolutely demolished in ascension
ive seen idiots like techno flexing some amd trophy winning against indian teams like my brother in christ u won a trash vs trash that is not an achievement

Trust me a lot indian immo players could outperform current pros but most PPL in india just cannot afford to go pro. That's the only reason, our country's gdp might be high but huge inequalities and disproportionate distribution is likely the biggest reason india can't compete.
I'm immo 2 127 rr rn and I'm prolly in the top 1000 players in india while being dogshit at the game

I would say a big part is that the number of new faces in the scene is too low, so the old heads feel comfortable in staying where they are and stealing paychecks. I also want to go pro but due to how indian household works, I cannot abandon my studies or career for a whole year to just focus on VAL, so I'm completing my masters before committing a whole year or two to VAL.

The core issue here is that Indian Valorant players have dogwater Tracker Scores in the highest ranks. Their peak shooting skills are to reach the highest ranks in the game with a 0.9 K/D ratio. The best Valorant player India could produce in these 5 years is Skrossi and even he consistently runs out of juice at 800 Tracker Score in Radiant rank. The second best player was Venka who did have almost 900 Tracker Score but he could barely sustain Radiant rank with that Tracker Score and would generally be in Immortal 3. Rest of the Indian players? Pure degenerate washed up Immortals with 500 Tracker Score in every act. Now their favourite excuse is high ping to SG server. But remember Dos9 who played for Revenant eSports? He played ranked on SG server from Mumbai bootcamp and he was still able to achieve #3 in the APAC leaderboard with a whooping 940 Tracker Score in Radiant. He pissed on each and every Indian player by proving that ping is just an excuse. There's a reason why he was picked directly by a Tier 1 org, even though he lost Ascension 2024 (Even there he and Sultan hard carried these bots Skrossi and Paradox).

So the bottom line is that Indians have already hit their peak skill ceiling long time back and there is absolutely no room for improvement. I think Skrossi should declare himself as trans next year and participate in Game Changers if he is really that desperate to win an international trophy.

Like imagine the only decent player India could produce all these years is Skrossi and even his mechanics is equivalent to that of an average NA content creator so obviously our region is fucking doomed.

"i was watching the rnt vs vlt match and i just gotta ask one question why are the indian players so stagnant or behind other country's players"

Short answer : Because they play their soloQ in India, and because you can't really scream only with other region because of ping. If you want the best Indian player progress mecanically they need to have access to Korean soloQ.
