I think theyre trying to improve and hitting a roadblock with nats igling. Either that or their only goal was making masters in which case they’re focusing all efforts on that
I’m worried at the moment because it looks like they’re slowly falling apart but it could be necessary to level up to fnc or g2 quality
complete disagree. You can see the numbers black on white... They only have two world class players. Heretics have 4. FNC have 4. Considering their player material they are overperforming. I would say coaching and igl are their strenght.
As to why they are falling apart? BBL has kept improving a lot and so have Navi and KC... The gap has just closed. Combined with the fact that liquid was just in life form in that later kickoff run and are now back to normal its only logical that they are struggling now
I don’t think the player quality is the issue. A lot of people thought keiko was bad last year because he only performed well in the first games and now they’re saying hes one of 2 good players on tl. Patitek is objectively world class when it comes to util usage. Kamo struggles in some games but his job as entry is always done correctly.
Numbers dont paint the whole picture. Its hard to see their impact from the outside which is why a lot of people, me included, fail to see Serials contribution. The coaching staff is doing a lot of the heavy lifting but I think the dip in performance is them trying a different style of gameplay where the coaching isnt holding their hand the entire game if that makes sense. They need to try something new because as you said they hit their peak early

I just think thats a consequence of the rapid succession of games. Whenever liquid has time off they come back with a lot of new ideas and play in a very structured manner. When the "old" material ceases to work of course its often on the igls to adapt. That doesnt suggest an igl issue to me at all however.
FNC 2023 relied A LOT on the same strats but got away with it more due to individual excellence. Something liquid cant match. If they want to break past their early peak the only reliable non-luck based way to do so is individual upgrades.
