even Sliggy says EMEA is the worst region
they play good valorant, have been consistent over multiple meta's and dont lean heavily into tejo, their worst map is leaving for their historically best map, idk about favourites but contender for sure, i think winning becomes more of a possiblity after seeing if they win emea, the competition regionally is weaker if they cant win there they wont win in toronto
according to them they basically got to comfortable, felt like getting to internationals was a given, they also got hella sick in like, the 2 weeks leading up to the event so their prep and prac was shit, but they generally say their issue was getting too comfortable and expecting to not struggle getting to internationals, which, tbf, last year that had been the case, even when they were changing rosters every 3 weeks they didnt struggle making internationals but EMEA is more competitive this year.
They look great, won't have to change their comps too much, good map pool

However, statistically speaking, EMEA has won the 2nd tournament of the year 3/4 times and has always attended it.
