I haven't played this game in over a year but I still enjoy watching when I can. I forgot exactly when I quit but it was before Shanghai Madrid.
I ended up taking a break because I was becoming sucked in by buying skins. I spent around 500$ before I just quit to stop wasting my money but I lost interest to play as time went on. Still enjoy to watch though.
same, just quit recently... i played for like 1/2 a year but didn't get much better and it just felt like a waste of time. my friends don't play often either so it wasn't really fun solo queuing a lot. I love watching pro matches though, it's much better watching people who are actually good at the game LOL
yeah the main thing that let me down was that i dont really have any friends to play with, my friends arent very much into video games (most dont even have a gaming pc) and the ones who are dont like fps/competitive overall, just got very frustrating very fast. i started playing in like early 2022 for six months then i stopped for a few months then i started again and so it went until i definitely stopped like three or four months ago

It just gets really stale after a quick while. The only playable gamemodes are ranked and DM and both are insufferable. Meanwhile in CS theres surf, retakes, community maps, etc. This is the main thing that cs is superior to valorant, and people gloss over this all the time.
I get stutters and lags. My pc freezes cause the riot vanguard sometimes eats 100 percent of cpu. fps dances around 50-40fps when idle drops below 30 when gun fights. I play rarely. Maybe 1 comp a day or some holiday. Played so much that it feels boring. Have hard time when matched against golds.
Even vct is boring except some good matches. I check the score. That's bout it.

Got to ascendant 3 when it was champs la then quit the game but i still actively watch esports a lot. Honestly its just that its easy to have it open on the background while doing something else like if i wanna have it at the background going I usually watch Sliggy but when i dont wanna see the matches but also know whats going on i usually open TMV or Sideshow cuz %80 of the time they yap off topic which could get fun
Same here, i watch mostly latam and br teams but as the game advances, it's fun to watch what other teams/regions play the game.
I think i stopped playing when Deadlock was announced. First because i kinda got bored about the matchmaking, and also my group of friends stopped playing. They got bored because they were tryharding ranked and didn't did well.
I play unrated like once or twice a month when some of those friends make the call. Oh and also when there's a new agent. I unlock them just to have them all. I'm at the point of not knowing exactly how some abilities work (especially post-Deadlock agents) because i just watch them in matches.
i enjoy watching good players hit insane clips and cool plays (i.e marteen 4k from astra wall). As a diamond i try and hit clips asw but since im on a laptop connected to a monitor i obviously cant clip anything cus i get insane thermal throttle, which is kind of demotivating. Also teammates are so mickey mouse, constant throwers and just obviously boosted players makes ranked very bad. I prefer playing faceit (CS2 because the teammates make queuing ranked very enjoyable)
I haven't played a real game of valorant in months and mainly just play a couple tdms every other week. For me this game(and most other multiplayer games that have long ass games) are an absolute slog to play solo q and I prefer to play with comms muted anyways. I do watch most of the games in Apac/emea/americas and t2brazil though and its a lot more enjoyable than playing
