i genuinely hate map diff tiebreakers, i think that h2h should be 1st and most important, and then map diff between tied teams and then round diff between tied teams. nobody cares who farmed the 0-5 team harder, it is a horrible measuring of skill

only reason people are coping about seeding is becase talon played the worst team in the region with their igls dad dead

if anyone geniunely believes talon would place below second without that you're doodoo brained

i am not really a big TLN fan, am using this flair after losing a bet

this obviously is most relevant to APAC but also is relevant for AMER and other regions that have group tiebreaks of h2h

It's not really that bad, but a lot of people don't understand the rules. I already explained it in another forum, but many still don't get it and argue that it's not in the rule book.

HTH is the worst tiebreaker ever.

  • In RR every game grant you one point, beating your direct opponent grant you 1 point and deny 1 point, wish mean the value for this game is 2, you dont need to make this game value 2,5 when every other value 1
  • Riot isnt able to do a rulebook, that doesnt have mistake, they didnt specify that the 1st team in mapdiff should be out of the tiebreaker before the last and not in same time.
  • Nobody is unable to do the match around it (Based on how the rulebook is written, NS isnt even 2nd but 3rd (1) mapdiff : RRQ > NS/T1 > TLN --> (a) return to head to head : Tie is reduced to 2 teams, so we use the above tiebreaker of the 3 way tie, wish is head to head where T1 > NS)

PS : And I would rather have Talon in winner bracket than another KR team (wish isnt sane for the game)

Gonna assume this was prompted by the tie in Group Omega in Pacific.

Head-to-head between the four tied teams:

RRQ 2-1
TLN 2-1
T1 1-2
NS 1-2

That would put RRQ and TLN in a tie breaker for 1st place (RRQ wins), and T1 and NS in a tie breaker for 3rd place (T1 wins). This puts the order at RRQ, TLN, T1, and NS respectively.

TL;DR: Nothing changes.

At least that would have been easier to be framed in the rulebook

This isn't actually the rule. I'm just demonstrating that if it were, nothing would change, and it therefore doesn't do any good to argue for it expecting a different outcome

Yup that's why I'm saying that it would be better if that was the rule because it would have been easier for riot to write it (Because the problem here, is that Riot wasnt able to explain how the rule work in the rulebook, and the way it's wrote, give a different outcome)
