game feels less flowy every update

i feel like the game is getting too formulaic and stiff

there's nothing like your teammate flashing mirage mid and you cruising along tracing angles and one tapping enemies in this game. the 'freedom' we had vanished along with jett two instant dashes. now it's all droning. util. vyse/cypher locking down half of the map.

it's called power creep. There are so many agents now that the abilities have become stifling.

If they never added any agents after Reyna, then you'd get overpowered Jett on every map. It was more fun to watch though back then though.

the playerbase is just getting better and there's also a higher volume of agents who can stack utility

i feel like riot did a bad job at making interesting skills compared to, say, ubisoft with r6

or maybe the cs framework is too 'simple' for it to be turned into a tac fps with abilities, thus the abilities make the game a flowchart as exemplified in the post plant metas

spectre divide was all about having interesting skills and one of the main reasons it flopped is because it was just too complicated

there's nothing wrong with simple abilities, and in fact their simplicity is what allows for much more creativity rather than pigeonholed use cases
