I think Americas is good
apac pretty good
China decent?
EMEA decent?
I think worst region is EMEA or China
tbh all regions seem to be kinda trolling lately, emea seems to be most stable, but even then, two best teams from kickoff made roster change, americas is G2 then mby kru and aspas but thats it, china is still strategicaly behind, fpx is in dumps after berlin left and edg made the wierdest mid stage roster move ive seen, pacific is literally 6 man roster region (drx, geng, prx, ge, t1 in the beginning)
i dont disagree, im even kind of a fan of this "second coming of kangkang" narative and i lowkey hope he lives up to it but droping the guy that was the diference maker between edg going 0/2 in Shanghai to winning champs and getting top 3 in Bangkok was wierd to me and many other people and kinda feels like it still
Random add-on to this after some news today: Looks like Jieni came onto the roster after some internal friction. Namely, EDG manager Aqua has accused Simon of essentially bad work ethic and being unwilling to put in the effort to learn to shoot, and Aqua seemed to have the support of the rest of the EDG roster, who showed up to support his stream.
Simon allegedly fired back, claiming chichoo, smoggy, and nobody had displayed similarly shit work ethic. If he did say that, this would've essentially burned his bridges, even though for now he remains on the roster and is free to stream. Authenticity is up in the air at the moment, however. Take with a grain of salt.
On the other hand, it's claimed Jieni's working extremely hard to better himself as both a support player and a duelist, and also looked promising in scrims, thus why he in particular has come on.
So there's your official answer to "Why would EDG drop champs winner? Surely he can just practice to shoot better". We'll see how it shakes out, but so far I think Jieni looks promising, especially with all of the china groups and kickoff to train and grow.
That's interesting. I'm ngl, I could believe s1mon's argument because EDG seemed to not adapt whatsoever in their rematches against G2 and T1, and they kept a lot of their 2024 comps like the Lotus one that I thought were more temporary approaches. Those games seemed like a prep diff, looking in from the outside.
America's has 3 serious contenders, 1 set of group stage merchants and all of 0 real upset games because everyone else is utter garbage but at least not as garbage as the team immediately below them. Nearly every matchup is a 90/10 besides the literal bottom and top of the barrel.
Pacific has 4 deadweight teams and 8 genuinely strong competitors that could all potentially go on a run and win an event. It'd take more doing for a few. But they're all capable.
EMEA has 3-4 serious contenders (FNC, TL, TH, maybe VIT or KC) and 2 complete deadweights (KOI GX). It then has two incredibly volatile and inconsistent but potentially dangerous teams in Apeks and M8, and a bunch of solidly midtable teams that could realistically improve and make it deep in playoffs or even to Toronto on a run with an improvement streak.
China is literally impossible to keep track of because everyone keeps blowing themselves up. FPX could've been 1st seed if they won but aren't even 4th of the back of that same loss. That's how unstable the region is right now.
You tell me what the order is from that. Cuz it certainly ain't EMEA last or AMER first.
You can't refute it logically, you idiot. That's how kids without parents are always like that. Kids like you, who are in the Iron Tier, have no insight or knowledge. Don't you know that recent trophies show the strength of a local team better than old ones? Are Leicester City a strong team just because they have trophies? You idiot.
