I would say no since on Ranked you can literally play anything and it will be good. Especially Abyss ive seen Astra a lot more than Omen, Ascent is honestly whatever you can do Astra/Omen/Clove/Brimstone nobody cares since it will be removed in 12 days. I personally do Astra on Pearl/Sunset/Abyss but it's just ranked my dude you can do whatever you want cause it all depends how comfortable you are
Abyss is Astra meta for sure
I think clove sucks on that map as solo controller
Ascent Omen is defo better
on Abyss Astra is prob better now in a pro environment in ranked ur gonna get more value out of Omen unless ur a really good Astra
in ranked its much more important for you to play agents you feel confident with than what is "meta"
For VCT - On large maps like abyss and pearl astra for sure is better than omen for better map control. On other maps it depends on team comp and playstyle.
For ranked - In higher ranks almost same as vct for large maps. Otherwise comfortable agent is always better. For lowers ranks omen has edge as people hardly call for util and all. With omen u can do solo plays.
Both are about even if I'm honest it depends on the map vct wise but in ranked probably omen since people don't know how to play off util

Vct wise besides pearl, abyss and bind will prolly be omen cuz even with the one ways gone, paranoia is one of the best flashes in the game so for coordinating team stuff it’s more helpful for combos
It really depends on map-design. Astra is good on Abyss and Pearl due to the long rotations/entries into site. Omen is good on maps like Ascent and Sunset due to the faster rotations. When we get 10.0, I think we will be in arguably one of the most balanced dome-smoke map pools:
- Brimstone has Fracture and Bind;
- Astra has Pearl and Abyss;
- Omen has Haven, Split and Lotus.
Omen will still probably lead in smoke-picks since he is viable on Abyss. Astra can be played on all of Omen's maps albeit at the trade of the speed of his smokes and his flash.
In a short summary, Astra probably won't be better than Omen in picks still, but she has high potential if the teams/players prefer her playstyle over Omen.
when looking at multiple smokes i'd argue astra can place her stars and use them faster than omen placing his smokes
Depends on playstyle of the player but Omen flash is so OP and his smokes come back so fast so probably Omen in general
Assuming you can play both to the same degree, it depends entirely on the map
Abyss: Astra is better but people will often play Omen
Ascent: Omen is better but both are great
Brimstone: Astra is better, in fact probably better than Brimstone
Haven: Astra is better but people will often play Omen
Pearl: Astra is better
Split: Omen is better, but both are very viable
Sunset: It's about 50/50 so either one works, but you will see more Omen being played just because people are more comfortable with it
Just use clove in ranked, and astra is broken in pro play, omen's advantage is the flash only.
