rob wants to support the game but bleeding money into four paycheck stealers is not the way to go
unless he's down to increase the buyout of the inevitable one good player immensely, its just a dumb decision

imo he prob isnt "wasting" any money on the tier 2 team (they arent gonna be making crazy money why would they), its great pr, also helps boost SEN's brand and even more merch

its pretty well known that a lot of gc players are just not good
rob moore is investing because he has a passion for the esport, which is respectable
but the quality of play in gc is just not that good, a genuine top radiant like flor could just farm easily
a couple players are really good like dodonut or vania but again its still one good player a team
maybe in 2026, but in 2025 its just a bad decision both in terms of business and in terms of rob moore's personal goals for good gameplay or wtvr

yeah this makes sense thinking about it now, i think rob is very passionate about investing into the growth of the esport as well and i can see how investing into GC would provide a very low to no growth of the esport for the amount that it’s worth

nah, i dont think its possible to build a strong gc team without poaching many players. maybe if u look for imports but thats a lot of work
Investing in NA GC is hard rn. SR basically guaranteed a spot, and you have 3-4 signed orgs fighting for the final spot. You're gonna have to spend a lot of money, or get lucky with scouting to have a shot at making champs.
Now, if SEN set up a KR or JP GC team, that would probably be printing free money.

Not worth it, developing t2 is worth far more than risking GC. But if a team was going to do it, it would probably be Sen. Not really worth investing in for any other team though.
GC NA is horrible, there is not top orgs that are competing anymore CLG, EG, C9, and more left GC NA. The only well known orgs that are left in NA is SR, FLYR and YFP
