Clove will not replace any controller at top level imo.
No team-based util besides the 1 decay nade, and picking them over omen/brim loses the omen blind or brim molly and ult which are hella strong
ppl are saying clove will replace brim but you have to think about the maps brim is played on, brim on bind still too good bc of delay w/ molly and ult and just how many good brim ults there are on bind
omen blind and tp potential still stronger + no smoke range restriction
the only way i can see clove being picked is as a 3rd controller 💀💀💀 but nobody will do that tbh
right, but i think the amount of FK/FD zekken has says more about the sentinels system than anything else
look at fnc, who constantly sets up derke to take easily 20-30 first duels over a bo3; that’s their system and that’s how they find success
on the flipside, eg’s system was much less rigid about who took the first duel and so each individual player has a decent amt
the acs graph is nice tho and shows zekken to be as insane as he actually is
FKPR is a bit misleading. a comment on the reddit post brings up a good point - he simply takes more first duels than everyone else on the list (demon1 and smth had to share entry w/ jawgemo and jinggg, etc)
if you look at zekken’s FK/FD differential, it’s only 0.04 at madrid - putting him on the same level as something and well below people like autumn and KK (0.14 and 0.08 differential respectively)
ofc zekken is still insane, but this statistic doesn’t automatically make him the goat
if geng didn’t choke bind this would be 3-0

sacy aim is fine, he dropped 30 on prime optic aiming like this. aim was never the reason he was picked up he has top tier util + established chem with the team dropping him is braindead
just to clarify - this is not a hate post (i love PRX), just something i was curious about
every time PRX makes a deep run at an international tournaments, they’re missing the usual insane stats and ratings that the similarly placed teams have.
for example, at champs 2023, LOUD (3rd) had cauanzin, aspas, less in the top 10 rated players, FNC (4th) had alfa and leo, and EG (1st ofc) had demon1. PRX’s highest rated player was only 13th (d4v41 w/ 1.08), and after smth at 15th, you had to go super far down for the next player (mindfreak/f0rsakeN w/ 1.00)
teams who placed much much worse than them often have quite a few players who outperform all of PRX statistically, and yet PRX still can make deep runs
and in general with any close ish matches, prx’s ratings all seem to be so much lower than their opponent’s

just curious as to why you think that is? is it bc of the way rating is calculated, the way PRX play, win matches, etc.

no i for sure agree, tenz only plays 1/5 controllers so def not a smoke player by any means

damn nice lol i have like 700+hrs in paladins (may get hate but i think it's better than ow and always has been, unfortunate how little the devs care for the game)
funnily enough i was a tank/support main so i actually did play ying (among others), hated maeve (street justice 0 skill talent unfortunately)
LOUD NRG at lockin had a pretty sleeper map too tbf
i just think that map of ascent is so iconic that you HAVE to include it here
FPX vs DRX in champs 22 UBQF is criminal to not be included here
so so many iconic moments on ascent (including best clutch in VCT history, stax mouse kiss, etc)
