honestly idk what to think about it, the justification is something along the lines of "trans men are men and men aren't allowed in GC, therefore trans men aren't allowed either"
not weird at all, it would be contradictory to have a circuit specifically for marginalized genders if its open to all genders
no implications. let's use a syllogism to help you understand.
If men cannot compete in game changers (per Riot's own determination) and trans men are men (per your own determination) then trans men cannot compete in game changers. It's that simple.
here's my 2 cents a trans man, i would not want to play in GC. its a league for women and nbs, and if im a dude, then i shouldn't be allowed to play. my gender is man, its not a "marginalized gender", its man. yea i know i have the disadvantage of being raised as a woman and it sucks i can't play in the easiest league to farm (jk i'd get shit on), but if you really do transition to a man and take testosterone you shouldn't be allowed in Game Changers. im sure like the 3 other trans dudes lurking this site might have their own opinion, but thats just my take.

They have the same social disadvantage as women from living some of their developmental years as women, the added obstacle of transphobia and no environment to play in

GC rules specifically states no men fullstop, lumping trans men and cis men together
i already gave my take in this thread but as a trans man, that's how i'd prefer it. although i'm not really that close to being pro (played a little with a university team), still i'd rather be treated as any other cis man, just like how a trans woman would want to be treated like cis woman and allowed to play in GC. i don't even experience transphobia when i play val bc i sound like a dude. its not ideal and i probably won't ever make it to even t3 teams, but it is what it is.
Yeah that's a very fair perspective to take, I just feel like trans men having no safe space to play or opportunity to develop whilst still having all the disadvantages of GC players is kinda unfair

with a liberal interpretation of the rules, yes. in practice, no. even nb players that are male passing get hate, if you were male passing you either get dysphoria or hate.
aint no way riot not allowing trans men playing in GC. if it's true then GC is just another performative activism
