the timezones aren't that good for american viewership but you're not that wrong
I mean other than Sentinels being in champs it didn’t really have much, last year it had location buff, FNC going for the 3 peat and Jinggs last ride, and is the only time where a team could actually defend their title 😭
Prob cuz NRG performed horrible and so is SEN rn and there's no reliable American team apart from g2

This champ might become more hype if teams like sen,edg,trace make it through somehow. The underdog stories gonna go insane. Also the timezone isn't really good for a lot valorant viewers ig theres that
2023 champs just had goated storylines tbh, fnc looking for the 3peat, prx with jinggg leaving, eg with the craziest underdog story in val history, loud coming back into form after a dogshit tokyo. This tournament doesn't really feel like a culmination of the year's storylines except for geng cementing themselves as the goats I guess
Literally 0 reason imo, I think this tournament is awesome but it's not in my timezone so I miss out on everything.

Last year’s production clears for sure, Lock in was hype asf for having every team, Tokyo and champs production clears every events this year. Also EG made the year entertaining asf with their cinderella run and trashtalks. Kangkang also made Tokyo hype asf. I still think this champs will be better than last year’s but let’s see
nrg vs prx, edg vs navi/t1/loud was pretty cool to watch. the iconic s0m 1v4 clutch. egs cinderella run from tokyo heading into champs, nrg dominating blg twice and making playoffs etc

You gotta remember we're still in the early days of the tournament, every time people start thinking "this tourney is less hype" it's because they're remembering the crazy matches near the end whereas we're still at the start. Wait for the tournament to finish up, then make you comparisons.
It's groups bro. And tbh, the level of play is way higher and the teams are more even. It's good. Just wait for the tournament to finish like goddamn man.
Production always ramps up in play-offs. Also, there are plenty of storylines and potential storylines.
A Fnatic comeback/return to the top is one, G2 the Ascension team winning Champs would be another, Gen G going for back to back wins, Chinese team making it somewhat far, Sen/PRX returning to form despite initial disappointment, etc...
You can't say there are no storylines when we haven't even gotten to the meat of the story yet. There will likely be at least one big shocker/surprise that will bring interest. I repeat, it's just group stage.

...because the tournament hasn't finished yet? EG was the best storyline last year, and it wasn't cemented as such until Champs finished and they won it all. The whole Jing thing wouldn't have been as interesting either if it didn't look like they had a real shot of winning. You gotta let things happen before you judge them, man. its still early days.

Its boring because the Americas teams you guys used to hate since kick offs are now better than your team.
If you guys could appreciate G2 you guys would be loving watching champs because americas is really stacked this tournament.
Also i say this while not being able to watch a single game live because of timezone.
Champions is good just stop being a hater and you will enjoy it aswell
