why do they need an advantage? is playing less games and having much more time not an advantage? in thoery all this does it makes the finals less competitive
In a momentum based game like valorant playing less games is actually a bad thing. Throughout this year teams have had deep runs cause they find their form in their matches. Sen KC Heretics Gen G all examples of this

It's only fair to give the upper bracket winner an advatange. Geng did it during Madrid and SEN still beat them.

Did you forget about sunset and bind? They are literally the best in the world on those 2 maps, and even without them they still managed to take 2 maps. Had they also had more practice time they could’ve improved their breeze, and split and whatnot.

In a real double elim tournament the team from lowers has to reset the bracket before they even have a chance of winning the tournament. You're just a whiner.
