They are good, to have discipline to comeback like that is not something the average team (Sen, NRG and 100T) can do well.
But they did get insane Life line against T1, PRX and Heretics (2 time facing)
nah the teams they played were just worse. If you lose a bo3 twice then you're just a shit team
not a single other team has pulled that much comebacks, g2 has always been a team who starts slowly and adapts to the opposite team since they were the guard
Somehow G2 keeps being slept on, especially by NA I'm noticing. They look better than 100T. It feels like people only give G2 their flowers when they have already win rather than when they're going into a game.
its their first split in the league so there hasnt been enough time to build up an army of drooling zombies yet. Give it a couple months (or less if they win masters)
I didn't even realise it's the old The Guard core and it shines through now with their resiliency. Truly a case of rebranding making people forget who they are, The Guard always felt pretty respected.
tgrd lost most of the fan-base with split 2 of 2022 and then lost the vast majority of the rest when they didnt make franchising. Those who did support them in T2 typically had a different T1 team which they primarily supported and as such when they got ascended there wasn't a huge fanbase for them (you can kinda see this in all the ascension teams this year Gentle Mates probably have the biggest fanbase)
When the common denominator in all those choked maps is G2, that means it is G2 being good, rather than the other teams being bad. Use your brain
It's not just that their opponents choked though, G2 has insane mental. Literally, they came back from down 1-0 in maps (in two games), and down 11-2 on map 2. Like, that's the kind of mental that wins you tournaments, although idk if they'll win Shanghai.
To answer, you need to define good.
Are they as good as FNC 2023, OPTC 2022, LOUD 2022, PRX prime ? No
Are they top actual to 4 in the world ? Yes they are without a doubt, and they are huge contenders for champions.
In "Middle age" (when everyone is mid) it's not a firepower, it's strenth of the group, and they are probably the best team in that domain
i guess it depends how you define PRX prime. I was assuming they were talking copenhagen since it doesn't make sense to bring up champs prx since they are playing currently and lost to g2. Regardless they have a chance but they're serial chokers.
