i’m ok with groups and playins because of the weird team count for a smaller tournament. but playoffs being single elimination is wild to me
it has to be single elim to give enough time for all regions to qualify and give sufficient prac time before madrid starts
you stupid mf the reason it started later was because valorant was getting rolled out in china. istg the number of dumbasses who yap without knowing shit is wild.
It can be forgiven until LOUD gets matched with NRG in the semifinals and 1 of the 2 is eliminated and a much worse team makes it instead
I was sceptical abt it in the start but it grew on me. Regarding the regular season its not looking good imo
if u are a valo esports fan its good but if u are a certain team fan the format sucks
The biggest drawback is the format of the payoffs. Single elimination? Fuck off
See, I dislike the format for the 1 team per region that gets put into the group of death when they could have potentially WON a different group. Of course 100T, but look at RRQ. RRQ had a group with both of the Madrid teams. They got placed as tied for last when they played, exclusively, their region's kick-off winner. That just fucking sucks for them and leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
