NA COPIUM Guide

So it seems NA brains are bad with geography and I have good education in geo (elementary school EU), so I will teach you on how to get COPIUM and don't look stupid.

First lets go through basics:

Europe = continent.
NA = continent.
Asia = continent.
SA = continent.
EU = economic union across multiple continents. (European Union)
CIS = economic union across multiple continents. (Commonwealth of Independent States)
EMEA = Europe + Middle East + Africa (Middle East is not a continent its a region in Asia and Africa, CIS is part of Europe, TR is part of Middle East)

There are many unions you can find in Europe:

EU, CIS, EEU, CE, Eurozone, CTA, EUCU, BSEC, GUAM, CEFTA, NATO and more...

Some NA brain misconceptions:

"CIS is not in Europe": FALSE
"Ukraine is part of CIS": FALSE
"CIS is a continent": FALSE
"ex USSR countries are CIS": FALSE
"Eurasia is a continent": FALSE (yes some NA brain claimed this xd)
"Russia is not European": They are over 85% European.
"Russia is not in Europe": Its, even its government is located in Europe (note: they also have territories outside Europe)
"Gambit is not European": All players are born and live in Europe.

Countries you can claim are not in Europe but in...:

So many of you figured it out that part of Russia is not in Europe and now say Asia > NA > Europe, well there are more cases like that with European countries you might want to know.
Spain: Africa
Norway: Antarctica
France: SA, NA, Antarctica
UK: SA, Antarctica, NA
Netherlands: NA
Denmark: NA
(note: use this info carefully, everyone will understand you are on hard COPIUM)

NOW VERY INTERESTING PART:

You can see that many European countries are also in NA, many of them are in EU.
That means there is EU in NA, but no NA in EU. So don't forget, you can't say NA without EU :)

In short what we learned today:

EU is everywhere and so can't lose. EU > NA
Europe dominates Valorant.

So you want to play intellectual now huh?

If you really did a decent enough psychological analysis, you would understand that no NA viewer on these forums actually believes the geographic nonsense that they presented: you got baited and I am now too. Clearly you lack conversational skills beyond the 5th grade because you were too busy trying to pass geography without understanding other life skills.

EU Education being better than NA education? Nonsense and utter garbage to those of decent academic credentials. Plus, look at the specific demographics and "geographic regions" within NA and see the results for yourselves (since you love geography so much). Take a punch at kids in MA, NY, or NJ in math or english. I think they'll give you a run for your money.

So tldr? Don't act like how the NA kids acted during Iceland for Berlin cause you look just as stupid as they did.

You said it, “take a punch of kids in MA, NY, or NJ” NA education is good in a few zones, but trust me I have experienced both American and Eu education and the American one in some states is just ridiculous just like in some European countries.

#44

Frags

1) EU colleges are rarely free for US citizens
2) Most of EU citizens who go to US colleges, go there because they are usually free for them and "prestigious"
3) US colleges are very good at advertisement and more prestigious=/= better education
4) When you say NA colleges you just think about very top that are full of Europeans and Asians. Average college is a different story :)

Number 1 university in the world is EU too

#49
justadude
2
Frags
+

tbf ranking universities overall is stupid, they should be ranked on subject like best business university, best IT, best nuclear science etc. and EU has plenty of them.
Ranking universities on their ethnic diversity and how often they are mentioned in movies doesn't make sense.

#50
Lanss
0
Frags
+

Uh how do I break it you, that’s kinda how they rank it lmao, you watch too many movies my guy. They don’t rank colleges by how famous they, but how good the teacher, campus, etc is. You can also find rankings for subject based.

#52
justadude
2
Frags
+

You can read on how they are ranked here

You can see that most rankings are flawed and also include stuff that shouldn't matter like:
Reputation, admissions, student options, award numbers, internationalization, graduate employment, industrial linkage, media mentions etc..
And yes some Universities boost their rankings by having diverse campus, especially in NA with then translate to world ranking.

Specialization expertise should be the only metric.

The subject has produced much debate about rankings' usefulness and accuracy. The expanding diversity in rating methodologies and accompanying criticisms of each indicate the lack of consensus in the field. Further, it seems possible to game the ranking systems through excessive self-citations or by researchers supporting each other in surveys

#56
kapteN
0
Frags
+

Student options should definitely matter.
Award numbers shows how good the talent is that they attract.
Graduate employment means how good the jobs are that grads get after a degree in this uni, HUGELY important.

The rest you can argue about.

#57
justadude
1
Frags
+

-Student options doesn't tell how good subjects are taught.

-Award numbers is just dumb, how being best at sports shows how good you are at educating and if its only some math olympics there is no way to rank awards importance, is winning in one state/country is better than other? Also if you win in math it doesn't tell how good university is at biology. It can be used if its on same subject basis like best university at nuclear physics and use awards from math olympics, there are still some arguments against it but sure why not.
(these "Best University" ranking deffinetly don't do that)

-Graduate employment is just same as reputation, better reputation easier employment. Also if students decide to do their own thing after graduation like writing a book for a year before looking for job, it effects stats for that university.

Sure these are important things for students, but not for how well subject is taught

#69
Lanss
0
Frags
+

You realize that colleges don’t just get a good a reputation out of nowhere, they got their reputations form how good they are. They usually don’t rank based on reputations but if they do rank colleges somewhat based on reputation, there really nothing wrong with it,since it also shows how good a college can be. Also your source is Wikipedia, unless you are from middle school, no one else actually uses Wikipedia, literally anyone can edit it. There is like 1000s of rankings online, you just need to find a specific ranking toward what you are looking for

#70
Lanss
0
Frags
+

Also what do you mean student opinions don’t matter? What are you on bro, who are you gonna ask then? The teachers? It’s obvious gonna be biased, hence why we ask student? Of course student replies can vary, but saying they don’t matter is stupid. Also what do you mean award winning don’t matter? Also why you looking at sports award? Just look at subject awards they got, and pls don’t say something stupid, you get awards because you are good, and you can’t expect a college to be perfect, you have to search for the college that is good at what you need. It’s YOUR job to do the research when you go to college, and reputations do matter. You’re naive if you think you can go to some college and you are set for life since they taught you good. Your employer don’t know what you learned, and they will give priority to people form colleges with good reputations. That’s how it works

#80

1
Frags
+

Every number 1 gets a 100 score. It's standardized so scores are simply based on whoever the number 1 is.

If MIT dropped some points and oxford stayed the exact same, oxford would get 100

The difference within the top 10 is literally within less than 3 percentage points and 5 of them are european.

What is your actual point? You're trying to defend undefendable positions.

In this game, Europe and CIS are two different regions and both of them are part of EMEA. For example, you can find that "Champions Tour CIS stage 3" and "Champions Tour Europe Stage 3" are two different tournaments and they take place at the same time. At least, Riot makes regions in this way.

#45
justadude
1
Frags
+

"Europe and CIS are two different regions and both of them are part of EMEA"
So CIS is not in Europe, but in EMEA? so is CIS Middle East or Africa?
Or are you having NA brain moment and didn't read my thread? EU=/=Europe

Also Riot doesn't separate EMEA into EU, CIS and TR, because they want to make them different regions, they do this to separate groups into 3 so they wouldn't be to big. You can tell this because any teams can play in any group, That's why FPX play in EU or Arbalest(EU) played in TR, Riot even said there are no rules against playing in other groups you can pick the one that's best for you (probably talking about ping) as EMEA is a single qual.

#85
HS

https://liquipedia.net/valorant/VALORANT_Champions_Tour/2021/CIS/Stage_1/Masters Here's the proof that CIS and Europe were two different regions and they are just combined to EMEA. I guess you just cannot distinguish regions of the game and Geographic regions.

#86
justadude
0
Frags
+

1) My main point in short was: EU+CIS=Europe (EU=/=Europe)
2) If regions were different then why does Riot allow any team to play in any group EU, CIS or TR if they really want to separate regions?

"CIS and Europe were two different regions and they are just combined to EMEA"
So you are saying Riot combined 3 regions into one region EMEA? Man you are confusing

Also yeah these are regions:
https://liquipedia.net/valorant/VALORANT_Champions_Tour/2021/Circuit_Points

Also by riot: E in EMEA is Europe(EU,CIS,TR), MEA is basically MENA and they have separate qual:
https://liquipedia.net/valorant/Strike_Arabia/2021/Finals

But if EU=/=Europe is confusing for you I don't expect you to understand this.
