Duelist Power Rankings

Notes:

  1. Overall score can be deceptive, if a player's overall score is carried by their aim score while their other scores are lower, then what that reflects is the player's consistency. For players with really high aim scores but low scores everywhere else, they will have games where they look like the best player in the world, and then have bad off games other times.

  2. A player with a lower overall score can still perform better than a player with a higher overall score if put on a team that mitigates their flaws (for example: if a player can only play one agent and their agent pool is shit, they can still thrive on a team or meta that only really requires them to play that agent).

  3. Individual scores are entirely subjective based on what I think.

  4. Aim is a combined score of awping and rifling.

Aspas: 9.15/10
9.5/10 Rifling
9.75/10 Awping
9.5/10 Gamesense
9/10 Pathing
8/10 Agent pool (can jett, raze, and neon)

Derke: 8.85/10
9.75/10 Rifling
9.5/10 Awping
9/10 Gamesense
9/10 Pathing
7/10 Agent pool (can jett and raze)

Sayf: 8.8/10
9.5/10 Rifling
8.0/10 Awping
9.5/10 Gamesense
9/10 Pathing
8/10 Agent Pool (For duelists; can jett and raze. Can killjoy)

Something: 8.25/10
10/10 Rifling
9.5 Awping
7/10 Gamesense
7/10 Pathing
6/10 Agent pool (can Reyna but can't raze)

Sayaplayer: 8.3/10
8.5/10 Rifling
9/10 Awping
8/10 Gamesense
8/10 Pathing
8/10 Agent Pool (For duelists; can jett, neon, raze)

Qw1: 7.85/10
9/10 Rifling
9.25/10 Awping
7/10 Gamesense
7/10 Pathing
7/10 Agent Pool (Jett, Neon)

Ardiis 7.6/10:
8.5/10 Rifling
9/10 Awping
7/10 Gamesense
7/10 Pathing
6.5/10 Agent Pool (Jett, can technically play killjoy and sage but doesn't look comfortable on either)

TenZ: 7.4/10
9.5/10 Rifling
8.5/10 Awping
7/10 Gamesense
6/10 Pathing
6.5/10 (jett, and can play sage and kayo but doesnt look too comfortable on them)

Demon1: 7.95/10
9.75/10 Rifling
9/10 Awping
7/10 Gamesense
7/10 Pathing
7/10 Agent pool (can brim but can't raze)

Leaf: 8.7/10
9.5/10 Rifling
8.0/10 Awping
9/10 Gamesense

Yay: 7.95/10
9/10 Rifling
9.75/10 Awping
9/10 Gamesense
6/10 Pathing
6/10 Agent pool (for duelists; can jett. Can also sage but not as important to meta)

How does Derke have an overall lower score that Aspas, even though they have the same amount of points combined?

What is the pathing statistic?

And btw if the team does well despite the player is on a flex character, why would you not consider his agent pool to be good?

If NRG wins despite having ardiis as sage or killjoy, does that not mean ardiis has a good agent pool?

#15
Nachtel
0
Frags
+

Its based on my personal opinion ngl. For example, with ardiis, he's played raze against Sentinels and NRG won, but he didn't particularly look very comfortable on raze (nading then satcheling into his own nade) so I don't consider raze part of his agent pool

You can think of pathing as how good they are at the micro aspect of taking a site, where they decide to go first, the spaces they clear, etc.

I see,
So pathing statistic would be good for duelists who don’t leave angles unchecked- (and let opponents get 3ks from those corners)

And
I understand the agent pool thing,
But i am happy to see that the stat wasn’t based on fragging but rather util comfortability.

Also i wanted to ask,

What if Something is not bad at raze- but paper rex just think jingg’s raze is superior?

A matter of what I've seen so far. For all I know wolfen is God's gift to valorant and just whiffs everytime he's on stage.

I'll update these as the season goes along; if something shows a good raze then I'll add that to his agent pool

Pretty good list. U should definitely make ratings for all the roles

I don't know if I could; I don't know enough about what makes someone good in other roles.

I only really made this to 1. Kill time and 2. Outline ways I can improve myself as a duelist

fuckin hell you are really rating duelist more coz they can play kj? lmao, joke of a ranking

#26

We are in a meta where the duelist is sometimes forced to not play duelist on every map. E

In an ideal world you have flex players that can fill every support role that is needed exceptionally well and the duelist can stick to jett, raze, neon.

But in reality every roster has some sort of role conflict issue, and especially when prospects are limited for other roles sometimes you have to make concessions and have someone play a role that is not their comfort role.

If I, as an org owner, see that a duelist is capable of filling absolutely anything and still perform at a high level, then that duelist has an inherent value to me over a jett one trick.

It also guarantees long-term consistency. If whatever agent they main gets nerfed, or if the duelist role gets undermined like it did under the chamber meta, then being flexible means that player will survive in esports and won't be a huge money pit for the org they're signed to, and will be a less risky investment, which I would happily pay a premium for.

A flexible vs an unflexible duelist is the equivelant of an insured vs uninsured car

lol no. if your duelist can play all jett neon raze, then your team would never require to run a non duelist comp or your duelist on kj lmao

Aspas should have 10/10 gamesense, literally anybody who has played with or against him has talked about how deliberate he is with every peek and piece of utility he uses. Dude is the model for all Jett players on how to play around their utility

mental is good too
example: aspas mental is so good, if he have a bad 1st and 2nd map, he smurfs in 3rd (leaf too)
sayf mental isn't so good, he tilts a lot (cned too)
derke and ardiis are consistent maybe sometimes they overcook and don't know how to recuperate but they have nice mental

When derke and sayf are compared derke has like a 61% entry succes compared to sayfs 59, while also having more fks, the highest adr in the league and higher fkpr
Aspas had a 60% entry success rate so not much of a difference when it comes to them but he has a much lower fkpr,fk and adr
I would probably consider these factors as well while tryna get a power ranking I'm sure it would change the rating significantly
Though it's subjective so who am I to judge

This shit is ridiculous, anyone with a brain knows that leaf has a 10/10 agent pool. He can play Jett raze neon kj skye cypher etc

Leaf should have a 10/10 agent pool. He can play so many agents.

#51

I agree to this. And he has such high impact in like 9/10 games in whatever role he is on.
That and Sayf. Sayf also does play good Neon, a Very good Phoenix.

they have individual playstyles that fit in better in their teams... the skill gap isn't really that high and aiming differently can be made up for by repositioning

agree with most except leaf should have 9/10 agent pool, on top of having a top 3 neon and jett had one of the best skye statlines in the tournament

demon1 has good gamesense (8/10)
leaf has a great agent pool (10/10)
something has good gamesense (8.5/10, that bind tp prediction in the drx GF was crazy)
