Visa issues were for other European countries you dummy. Russians weren't able to obtain visa in time for almost any event held in Europe last year (this impacted FPX as well, if your memory has lapsing issues).
As a Romanian I shouldn't be teaching you about geopolitcs of Europe, since we should both know it very well, but seems like I need to take a flight to Thessaloniki and educate you.
Please use brain power next time before replying. Every single regional league acts as a qualifier to a second layer of tournaments (international most the time). What's the point of having a qualifier that cannot provide a team which can go to intl events, due to previously mentioned issues? This on top of the fact that you'd have teams from certain countries refuse to play against teams from other certain countries...

It's all just cancel culture. Russians are competing normally, there is just no league because there are sanctions from Riot against russian orgs.
You think the russian production is gone? No! It's still there, casting non-CIS games. You think the players are not allowed to travel? Half the EMEA top players in brazil are Russian. What is it that makes you think having a CIS is league is impossible rather than unwanted by Riot?
The sanctions are by governments, not by Riot (which clearly creates a regulatory uncertainty for any type of investment) . You're clearly brain dead, I won't waste more keyboard wear on you.

Uhm, GMB and VP weren't allowed in ANY esport because they had government sponsors. That's the reason they went bankrupt.... because they were sanctioned.
