Game changers teams

Why do the best game changers teams such as Shopify rebellion and the new version1 get demolished by t3 scrubs. What is the reason that this is happening since they are good players

t3 scrubs are better? its really that simple. the female scene is not at the stage yet where they can compete with challengers-level teams

That’s why I’m wondering why is there such a skill disparity between them

same reasons APAC is a minor region. scrim quality is low because there aren't enough good teams. GC teams don't get to scrim with high tier teams like franchised teams/top tier challengers teams (this is purely an educated guess, I could be wrong). its easier to improve when you actually get to practice against the best teams.

It’s not the matter of time. Cs:go exists since 2012 and female pros were always got demolished in early open quals by tier 5 teams. In EU all the best cs women pros switched to Valorant since Riot developing GC and still can’t compete with Valorant semi-pros. And these women have like 10-15-20k hours in cs:go, more than all of us will have in our entire life.

Their skill level on average isn't up to par with only a few players here and there actually good enough to compete with T1 teams.
Some kid here is definitely going to argue about biological differences which is quite objectively false. Most research papers I've seen people bring up -do establish a difference when it comes to certain physiological differences but it is no way enough of a difference actually to say for certain that it's due to straight-up biological differences.
They just have to grow and develop as a scene. Simple as that.

Im not saying there arent any biological differences. Read my comment again. Im saying that the difference isnt so much when it comes to certain factors like reaction time, spatial awareness etc which creates the skill gap.

How about the fact that men are much more willing to work hard and work overtime in gaming than average women.

cause even tho some gc players are t2, as of now t2 teams > gc teams.

prolly something to do with mental, team compatibility, all that jazz.
I've never been a fan of segregation on the basis of anything other than merit , and what i hope for, esp with these 10mans(hopefully they last), is the eventual breakdown of most of these gc teams and these players dispersing into actual mixed teams, which is the ultimate goal of the entire gc project.

V1's kinda cookin tho, and their players have been by far the most impressive in the server,so lettem cook.

None of girls in Valorant are tier2. Get back to reality.

Found a nice video explaining female scene, even without reaction time arguments:

olofboost my friend i am NOT watching a 40 min long thorin video LMFAO. would you be so kind as to summarise i would love to hear your findings.

You should watch it. Literally everything of what he says corresponds to reality.

Anyway, main points:

  1. Most women don't like FPS games. And even some do - they are much less likely to invest all of their time to become great at a particular esport. Much less likely than men to just sit in front of computer 8 hours per day and grind, grind, grind. This is something that's never gonna change, no matter how you advertise an FPS game to them.

  2. Existence of only-female tournaments distracts women from their supposed goal of becoming the best of the best. Why would they tryhard to match men, if they can just farm easy money and easy contracts at their events against the same lowskill opponents? If there is no necessity to become better, they won't become better.

  3. Men are genetically more aggressive, competitive and willing to dominate in any field they enter. Whereas women on average don't want to challenge themselves to reach some crazy goals, like becoming 0,1%, 0,01% best at an esport, due to not having same amounts of testosterone as men. It's always been like this, it's in human nature. Even if you go far back enough in history, you'll find out that, long ago, men were hunters, and women were homemakers (I'm not trying to sound sexist, I'm just pointing out facts).

  4. Mtf trans players represent way, way lower playerbase than born women in any esports title, yet they accomplished much more than any born woman has ever accomplished so far.

agree with 1,2,4. Disagree with some of 3. Aggression isn't intrinsic, but a by-product of the fact that the average man is by default faster and stronger, and society has evolved based on the accentuation of those values (stronger/more aggressive men = higher status, weaker/less aggressive men = lower status), and the desire for this accentuation is in turn fueled by higher levels of testosterone, the status-seeking, drive providing hormone, and a more active dopamine system in men, which rewards them more for goal-oriented task completion.

The only relevant fact here however is that the average man has more drive/motivation to succeed than the average woman. Not even just in sports/esports, but literally just in general. How relevant this is to actual success tho is something that can't be measured, both in the competitive field and life/career paths, due to the fact that Drive/motivation << discipline and structure

.A worse team/player, no matter how "motivated" will always lose more times than not to a team that is simply just better prepared/more disciplined. You can motivate your way to winning a few rounds, but you can't motivate yourself to winning an entire series against a team that at that particular point in time, simply edges you out, even by miniscule margins. Couple that with a fuck ton of arbitrary factors in even just a singular round of any competitive video game, and the eventuality is a reality that is just as random, but ever so slightly tipped in favour of the average male competitor, which is really what we began with.

Overall it really just falls into the hands of the competitors. The reality is that the average female aspiring pro has to be 2x as disciplined as the avg male aspiring pro to make it, since by default, they simply aren't as motivated.
So,

  • is it harder for women? Kinda, but not really.
  • Will there ever be a semi- equal distribution (60/40, 70/30) of male and female competitors at the top? No. However,
  • Will we ever see women in the top .01% of valorant/any competitive video games? idk. Probably, Probably not. its doable, but it depends on how hard they're willing to try.

"The desire for this accentuation is in turn fueled by higher levels of testosterone, the status-seeking, drive providing hormone"

My guy you just agreed with my 3rd point about drive being caused by testosterone (male trait).

that's why i said i disagreed with some of it, specifically just the aggression/competition being intrinsic. the characteristic itself isn't but its fueled by an innate factor. That's ramble tho.wanted to point that out just cause. Keep reading.

Seems like you forgot that culture makes a big part of what he said.
Men are always harder on other men, do you remember Guard NeT? Even him being a one of best players 0.01% in Valorant, his father still called him a loser for losing.
Do you remember Yay? I'm sure his father as well do not think "well" of him.
All these issues is man x man.
Our society is much tougher on men, not with woman at all.
Do you remember when you were a kid? I'm sure you or one of your friends teased each other for losing some competition at school
These things do not really happen at woman at all, not as often as it happens to men.
This is a huge thing that makes a man way more competitive than woman, we grow up in this scene. Competition. In every single way.
Rarely you see someone being harsh on woman IRL. (Especially when she's considered prettier or something at today standards)
But for we man? If we ended up being handsome people gonna call us gay or something. As I said, world is HARSH for MAN overall, many cultures are like this.
Traditional thing, man should earn more, etc.
Since we were kid we live in competition environment, that's what makes us to achieve way success than women, I'm saying this about #3 topic.
But there's a way way way more reasons to justify why man's end up being better than woman.

you need time and investments, gc players lack a lot of experience playing tact fps at a high level. they need higher quality scrims. Valorant is the only esports game that heavily invest into having women pro scene grow , so only time will tell .

#12

small sample size + less experience = less good women/marginalized tac fps players not much else than that

#16

There are less women playing therefore there is a smaller pool of GC players, which would naturally make the amount of tier1 players lower.
Not many women have tier 1 experience or practic (which will come with time) due to the prejudice in the past and currently.

  • the fact that being a woman in the gaming scene comes with a lot of other shit!!!

They're just not that good. If they were, they'd play in the regular leagues. But obviously they want an easier league with the same salary. Same thing that happens in all sports. If they truly wanted to improve, they'd be totally against Game Changers and would just grind to get into a t1/t2 normal team (you know, just like all male players have to lol).

don't totally disagree with this due to the simple fact that if I remember well in League of Legends a russian team decide to sign a complete roster of females in the league they lost 52-2.

The team was called Vaevictis Esports.

Now maybe with time we will see female's competing in male roster

Simple. Most GC teams has coach, staff, etc. To support them. While T3 not.
GC teams get used to play "safe" after studying a team, but at same time they cannot deal with T3 players since they play like PRX all the time.
I believe they were spoiled early on, but I don't see an option other than what Riot did to "try" and close the gap between.
If they ended up failing, it just means that mans are really superior about these things, just like I said reaction time pays a lot in FPS games and scientific research already says that men actually have better reactions no matter what people tries to deny it.
Of course Valorant still not in a level where these "reaction time" will start to matter because there's a lot in this game, skills usage, knowledge, etc.
But even for that sort of thing, reaction time (thinking) makes a difference, But it's too early to judge 100% about this topic.
Also man's live their whole life with this competition mentality that men have since kid, we grow up in this competition environment. While most womans not.
