Riot ONE isn't only this event, it was a month-long event held throughout December by Riot Games Japan. It also includes League of Legends as well. Online show matches, streamer tournaments, it's literally an end-of-the-year celebration culminating in this weekend's offline event.
You get to see Japan. People paid thousands of dollars to go there and they got it for free since they paid for an all inclusive hotels.
Why would they want to spend Christmas in japan instead of being with their families or friends
